This Ain't No Picnic Reveal Their Festival Lineup

Another great festival is coming to Brookside at the Rose Bowl next year! This time it's This Ain't No Picnic taking place on Saturday, August 27, 2022, and Sunday, August 28, 2022. Some of the acts scheduled to perform at the Pasadena-based music festival include headliners The Strokes and LCD Soundsystem. Also on the festival bill are Courtney Barnett, Phoebe Bridgers, Beach House, Circle Jerks, Deafheaven, Descendents, Four Tet + Floating Points, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Honey Dijon, IDLES, Jungle, Kaytranada, King Woman, LeTigre, Nicki Nicole, Kelly Lee Owens, Genesis Owusu, Caroline Polachek, Slowthai, Jorja Smith, Sparks, Earl Sweatshirt, Tinashe, Turnstile, Mike Watt, Wet Leg, Ying Yang Twins, Yves Tumor, and many more. The Despacio tent (courtesy of LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy and 2ManyDJs) will also be returning to Southern California and set to party all weekend long.

FREE Katzù Oso Show at La Monarca Bakery

One of our favorite local indie rock acts has a FREE show this weekend, Scenestar readers! Katzù Oso will be teaming up with the iconic Los Angeles Mexican bakery, La Monarca, for a FREE acoustic show at their Highland Park location on Friday, December 3, at 6:30 p.m. They will also be giving away tickets to his upcoming show at the Lodge Room on Friday, December 10, the last stop on his brief West Coast tour.

Dispatch to Play at the Hollywood Palladium

Indie rock act Dispatch has a new album and an upcoming local tour date! Performing in support of their latest release Break Our Fall, the band has scheduled a show at the Hollywood Palladium on Saturday, July 16, 2022, with openers O.A.R. and Robert Randolph & the Family Band.

The Menzingers: Two Shows at The Roxy

Pennsylvania punk rock act The Menzingers are giving locals numerous chances to see them live on their North America tour! This includes a pair of shows The Roxy on Friday, April 22, 2022, and Saturday, April 23, 2022, with openers Oso Oso and Sincere Engineer. You can also see The Menzingers play in support of their latest release From Exile, at the Glass House on Sunday, April 24, 2022.

Gustaf Have Scheduled a Show at The Echo

Following their recent opening sets for Idles, Brooklyn's Gustaf has announced their own local headlining show! The indie-rock act will be taking the stage at The Echo on Monday, March 21, 2022, when they play in support of their debut album release Audio Drag for Ego Slobs. You can also see them open for Osees at the Troubadour on Saturday, December 18, and Sunday, December 19.

Judas Priest to Perform at the Shrine Auditorium

Celebrating 50 years of heavy metal is one of our favorite rock acts, Judas Priest! The band has rescheduled their anniversary tour and will play headline an all-ages show at the Shrine Auditorium on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, with special guests Queensrÿche.

Fitz and the Tantrums to Play Ventura Theater

Back with some Los Angeles-adjacent shows is soul-influenced indie-pop act Fitz and the Tantrums! For those of you willing to make the drive, Fitz and the Tantrums will be headlining the Majestic Ventura Theater on Friday, February 25, 2022, with The New Respects opening the show. Fans in Orange County can see Fitz and the Tantrums live at House of Blues Anaheim on Saturday, February 26, 2022. Both tour dates are in support of their current release All The Feels.
