One of our favorite times of the summer concert season is finally here! The Hollywood Bowl has revealed who's performing during their 2023 summer season. The Los Angeles Philharmonic has announced its schedule, and there are a lot of exciting options to look forward to this year. The Hollywood Bowl 2023 concert calendar includes performances by Air Supply, Alvvays, Los Auténticos Decadentes, The Beach Boys, Rubén Blades, Joe Bonamassa, Michael Bolton, Boy George and Culture Club, Cafe Tacvba, Cat Power, Chicano Batman, Jacob Collier, Fleet Foxes, Floating Points, Buddy Guy, Beres Hammond, Herbie Hancock, Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, Gladys Knight, Kool & the Gang, Diana Krall, John Legend, Maxwell, Modest Mouse, Morris Day and the Time, Carla Morrison, My Morning Jacket, Pixies, Portugal. The Man, Maggie Rogers, Say She She, Sparks, They Might Be Giants, Village People, John Williams, Charlie Wilson, and many more. Also, the Los Angeles Philharmonic conductor—and Scenestar favorite—Gustavo Dudamel will once again make several appearances for orchestral performances but will be leaving for New York in 2025 so take advantage of seeing his artistry while you can. More artists will be added closer to the general on-sale date and during the concert season.
Some of the individual LA Phil concerts that are on sale now include Opening Night with Janet Jackson and Ludacris on Saturday, June 10; Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival with Kamasi Washington, Leon Bridges, St. Paul and The Broken Bones, Digable Planets, Big Freedia, and more on Saturday, June 17, and Sunday, June 18; King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard on Wednesday, June 21; Jill Scott on Thursday, June 22; and Louis Tomlinson on Tuesday, June 30.
Lease shows that are currently scheduled at the Hollywood Bowl that are also on sale now include performances by Andrea Bocelli, Death Cab For Cutie, Matchbox Twenty, Reba McEntire, Willie Nelson, Phish, The Postal Service, and Shania Twain.
