Bad Religion, Linkin Park, The Offspring, and other special guests have teamed up to play a benefit show, the Concert For The Philippines, on Saturday, Jan. 11, at Club Nokia. The show will benefit those affected by Typhoon Haiyan.

Attention, fans of Check Yo Ponytail! Organizers IHEARTCOMIX recently created a Kickstarter to help fund their Check Yo Ponytail documentary, entitled Get Amoungst It. The Kickstarter features a lot of cool incentives based on what you donate, including a picture with Internet celebrity Grumpy Cat, free IHEARTCOMIX shows for a year, concert art, a concert at your house featuring Spank Rock and The Death Set, and much more.

In partnership with IAMSOUND Records, Independent Label Market will make its Los Angeles debut this Saturday, Nov. 3, at Micheltorena Elementary School. The station will be starting its Summer Membership Drive on Thursday, Aug. 16 till Friday, Aug. 24. Help support KCRW if you can by answering phones like we at the Scenestar staff do every drive or become members with a donation to the station!
Volunteering at KCRW involves helping answering phones in its pledge room located in their basement studio and easy to do! KCRW has a 20-minute online orientation slide show, so you can learn beforehand how to use the pledge system. We always make new friends, eat great food donated by local restaurants, win prizes and meeting some of our favorite KCRW DJs. Callers call in to get premiums they hear on the radio, winning prizes and support a station with the vision and freedom to play great new music, while other stations play Top 40 hits over and over. KCRW is usually the first to play the new bands you grow to love, and it sponsors a lot of great shows here in Los Angeles.
