The month-long celebration continues with one of the biggest events kicking off this Saturday as our Show of the Night: Outloud Music Festival at WeHo! The 2-day event starts today with performances by Janelle Monáe, Doechii, Noah Cyrus, Keke Palmer, Channel Tres, Yaeji, Sophie Ellis‐Bextor, Purple Disco Machine, Snow Wife, Kaleena Zanders, Black Polish, Salina Estitties, Shaun Ross, Doug Locke, Pegasus, Aaron Colbert, Kimber Chronic, Nico Craig, Jack Faulkner, Star Amerasu, and Deesco at JJLA at West Hollywood Park.

Summer is almost here, and with it comes another series of FREE shows! Levitt Pavilion has announced its lineup of 10 free shows, starting in June, at MacArthur Park. Acts scheduled to perform include Buyepongo, Chencha Berrinches, Egyptian Lover, Inspector, La Pobreska, Pearl & the Oysters, Special Ed, St. Panther, The Wailing Souls, Vilma y la Sonora, Y La Bamba, and many more.
There's also a scheduled fundraiser at the Regent Theater in Downtown Los Angeles on Friday, June 7, featuring performances by Amandititita and Ramona with hosts Pili y Raul Campos of KCRW.

Now in its 18th year, the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago's Union Park will once again present another varied bill of veteran artists and soon-to-be break-out acts. Headliners Black Pumas, Jamie XX, and Alanis Morissette top Friday, July 19, Saturday, July 20, and Sunday, July 20, respectively. The festival also brings with it an impressive 40% representation of female artists among them Brittany Howard, Muna, Sudan Archives, Bratmobile, and Jessica Pratt. As always there is a focus on the local music scene of Chicago and this year is no exception. Improv group Black Duck, former poet laureate Kara Jackson, and indie rockers Lifeguard are a few who will be representing the city at the fest.

Lush's Miki Berenyi is bringing the Miki Berenyi Trio to Los Angeles! Performing a mix of Lush, Piroshka, new tracks, and covers, Miki Berenyi Trio will be rocking the Fonda Theatre on Wednesday, May 29, with bandmates KJ McKillop (of Moose) and Mick Conroy (of Modern English). Joining them will be openers Lol Tolhurst (of The Cure) and Budgie (of Siouxsie & The Banshees).
