Goldenvoice Reveal Coachella 2023 Side Shows

It's that time of year once again to see which Coachella 2023 acts are playing sideshows all around Los Angeles! Goldenvoice has released the first wave of local "Goldenvoice Presents April" shows, featuring concerts with Coachella 2023 acts in and around town that are new or already scheduled at press time.

Those shows include performances by 2ManyDJs, Angèle, Bakar, Benee, Big Wild, Blondie, Pi'erre Bourne, Bratty, The Breeders, Cannons, Cassian, Christine and the Queens, Colyn, Dennis Cruz, Destroy Boys, John Digweed, Donavan's Yard, Elderbrook, El Michels Affair, Ethel Cain, FKJ, Gabriels, Hiatus Kaiyote, Los Bitchos, Mathame, Momma, Monolink, Muna, Mura Masa, Nora En Pure, Overmono, Remi Wolf, Chris Stussy, The Chemical Brothers, The Linda Lindas, Uncle Waffles, Vintage Culture, Kyle Watson, Willow, Yaeji, Yves Tumor, and many more.

The venues for these upcoming shows include El Rey Theatre, Fonda Theatre, Fox Theater Pomona, Glass House, Greek Theatre, The Novo, The Roxy, and Sound Nightclub, among others. We'll update this story as more shows are announced.

While some shows are on sale now, the newly announced concerts related to the festival go on sale starting on Friday, February 24, at 12 p.m.

We made it to the weekend, Scenestar readers. We're excited to head out and hit the road to go to Hollywood to check out our Show of the Night: Suki Waterhouse! The up-and-coming singer-songwriter out of the UK is bringing back her "Coolest Place In The World Tour" to Los Angeles tonight to perform at the Fonda Theatre. You can also see her at El Rey Theatre on Saturday, February 11, in support of her debut album release I Can't Let Go.

Hollywood Bowl Releases Their 2023 Schedule

One of our favorite times of the summer concert season is finally here! The Hollywood Bowl has revealed who's performing during their 2023 summer season. The Los Angeles Philharmonic has announced its schedule, and there are a lot of exciting options to look forward to this year. The Hollywood Bowl 2023 concert calendar includes performances by Air Supply, Alvvays, Los Auténticos Decadentes, The Beach Boys, Rubén Blades, Joe Bonamassa, Michael Bolton, Boy George and Culture Club, Cafe Tacvba, Chicano Batman, Jacob Collier, Fleet Foxes, Floating Points, Buddy Guy, Beres Hammond, Herbie Hancock, Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, Gladys Knight, Kool & the Gang, Diana Krall, John Legend, Maxwell, Morris Day and the Time, My Morning Jacket, Carla Morrison, Portugal. The Man, Maggie Rogers, Say She She, Sparks, They Might Be Giants, Village People, John Williams, Charlie Wilson, and many more. Also, the Los Angeles Philharmonic conductor—and Scenestar favorite—Gustavo Dudamel will once again make several appearances for orchestral performances but will be leaving for New York in 2025 so take advantage of seeing his artistry while you can. More artists will be added closer to the general on-sale date and during the concert season.

Some of the individual LA Phil concerts that are on sale now include Opening Night with Janet Jackson and Ludacris on Saturday, June 10; Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival with Kamasi Washington, Leon Bridges, St. Paul and The Broken Bones, Digable Planets, Big Freedia, and more on Saturday, June 17, and Sunday, June 18; King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard on Wednesday, June 21; Jill Scott on Thursday, June 22; and Louis Tomlinson on Tuesday, June 30.

Lease shows that are currently scheduled at the Hollywood Bowl that are also on sale now include performances by Andrea Bocelli, Death Cab For Cutie, Matchbox Twenty, Reba McEntire, Willie Nelson, Phish, The Postal Service, and Shania Twain.

Hard Summer Returns to Los Angeles in 2023

HARD Summer will be coming back, Scenestar readers! The annual 18+ music festival will return to the heart of Los Angeles for the first time in 10 years when it takes place at Exposition Park, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and BMO Stadium on Saturday, August 5, and Sunday, August 6. This will be the 15th edition of the acclaimed Southern California music festival.

Re:SET Concert Series Booked at the Rose Bowl

We have another great event coming to Brookside at the Rose Bowl this summer, courtesy of Goldenvoice! The Re:SET touring concert series will be taking place in Pasadena on Friday, June 2, Saturday, June 3, and Sunday, June 4 with a lineup that consists of Steve Lacy, James Blake, Toro y Moi, and Fousheé on Friday, Boygenius, Clairo, Dijon, and Bartees Strange on Saturday, and LCD Soundsystem, Jamie XX, Idles, and Big Freedia on Sunday.

Each day of music will feature full sets from each act with no competing stage conflicting with any of the scheduled performances at any of the 12-city concert series tour stops in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Columbia, Forest Hills, Grand Prairie, Nashville, New Orleans, Palo Alto, Pasadena, and San Diego.

Shows of the Night: Tuesday, January 31st

We're about ready to wave goodbye to January, Scenestar readers. That's why we're headed to Palm Springs to go out with a huge tour date featuring our Show of the Night: Harry Styles! Wrapping up his North American tour in support of his latest release Harry's House, Harry Styles will team up with Madi Diaz tonight at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert. There is one final date at the same venue on his birthday taking place on Wednesday, February 1.

Korean rapper Park Jun-won a.k.a. pH-1 will be bringing his "About Damn Time Tour" to the Fonda Theatre tonight in Hollywood. The show is in support of his latest release, But for Now Leave Me Alone.
