Desert Daze Reveal Their 2022 Festival Lineup

Desert Daze has finally announced its festival lineup! As we previously announced, Desert Daze will be returning to Moreno Beach at Lake Perris from Friday, September 30, to Sunday, October 2, for their 10th edition of the festival. Headlining the festival this year are Iggy Pop, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, and Tame Impala (Playing Lonerism in full).

Other highlights in this year's lineup include Chicano Batman, The Marías, Sky Ferreira, Cortex, BADBADNOTGOOD, Boy Pablo, Perfume Genius, Reggie Watts, Aldous Harding, Men I Trust, Mild High Club, Viagra Boys, Cymande, Shannon and the Clams, Nation Of Language, Duster, Nilüfer Yanya, Show Me The Body, Daniel Rossen (of Grizzly Bear), Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Surfbort, L.A. Witch, Automatic, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, The Paranoyds, JJUUJJUU, ZO, Surprise Chef, Black Country, New Road, Lady Wray, and many more.

The grounds will also be illuminated by an array of video artists and art installations including work by Tarik Barri, Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show, Slim Reaper, and more. Multidisciplinary artist Cristopher Cichocki also returns to the beach, curating this year’s installment of The Sanctuary featuring clipping., Silent Servant, Kid 606, and more, as well as Cichocki’s own Circular Dimensions Immersive Sound Installation and DJ sets from Nosaj Thing and Telefon Tel Aviv.

Primavera Sound Los Angeles Adds More Acts

We have another update on one of this year's most anticipated summer music festivals! As we previously reported, Primavera Sound will be taking place for the first time ever in Los Angeles from Friday, September 16, to Sunday, September 18, with headliners Arctic Monkeys, Lorde, and Nine Inch Nails. Today, the festival has added a few more acts to the bill. This includes Amyl and the Sniffers, Current Joys, Girl In Red, Giveon, Jeff Mills, and Surf Curse.

Other notable acts performing this year include Arca, Bad Gyal, Beak>, Bicep, James Blake, Boy Harsher, Buscabulla, Cigarettes After Sex, Clairo, Darkside, Dry Cleaning, Fontaines D.C., Georgia, Kim Gordon, Gustaf, Helena Hauff, Khruangbin, King Krule, Little Jesus, Low, Mitski, Paloma Mami, PinkPantheress, Shygirl, Special Interest, Stereolab, John Talabot, Faye Webster, Tierra Whack, and possibly more acts will be announced closer to the festival date. There will be sideshows taking place around the city leading up to the festival starting on Monday, September 12.

We have even more cool concerts tonight, Scenestar readers. This time we're headed to West Hollywood to check out an arena act at a small venue taking our Show of the Night title: The Black Keys! The Black Keys will be playing an intimate show tonight in support of their latest release Delta Kream, at the Troubadour. The concert will also be live-streamed via Fly Machine. You can also see the duo team up with Band of Horses and The Velveteers at The Kia Forum on Saturday, October 8, as part of "The Dropout Boogie Tour."

Rahman, The Roots, Diana Ross, Gwen Stefani, TLC, UB40, John Williams, and many more. Also, the Los Angeles Philharmonic conductor—and Scenestar favorite—Gustavo Dudamel will once again make several appearances for orchestral performances as well as the annual KCRW Summer Concert Series will be returning with some of our favorite acts. Wu-Tang Clan and Nas at the Hollywood Bowl

Guess who's back for yet another headlining show? Throw up your W because the Wu-Tang Clan is coming back to Southern California! You can see the Wu-Tang Clan bring back RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, and Masta Killa at the Hollywood Bowl on Tuesday, October 4, with co-headliner Nas. Fans in Orange County can see this iconic hip-hop tour at FivePoint Amphitheatre on Friday, September 30.

Swedish House Mafia at Banc of CA Stadium

Electronic supergroup Swedish House Mafia will be bringing their reunion tour to Los Angeles! The trio of Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Axwell a.k.a. Swedish House Mafia will follow up their Coachella 2022 co-headlining set this weekend with a tour date at Banc of California Stadium on Friday, September 9, in support of their latest release, Paradise Again. Opening for Swedish House Mafia will be Bay Area producer Zhu.

Viva! LA Booked This Summer at Dodger Stadium

Get ready to welcome back one of the city's best all-ages DIY music festivals, Viva! Instead of taking place at the Glass House in Pomona, the festival will now be taking place on a grander scale at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, June 25. This year's lineup will still feature local favorites as well as up-and-coming indie bands, but will now have arena acts headlining to match the size of their new venue.

Kx5 to Perform at L.A. Memorial Coliseum

Kx5 will be joining forces once again in Los Angeles! After making their live debut last year at SoFi Stadium, Kaskade and Deadmau5 will be bringing their supergroup, Kx5, back this winter when they headline Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum together on Saturday, December 10.
