The Carolina rock act will be heading to Anaheim to play their hits tonight at a headlining show at the Honda Center. Opening for Hootie and the Blowfish will be Collective Soul and Edwin McCain.

Role Model to Perform at the Troubadour

Indie bedroom pop act Role Model will be making their long-awaited return to Los Angeles! Besides opening for Gracie Abrams on her "The Secret of Us Tour" dates at the Greek Theatre on Monday, September 9; Wednesday, September 11; and Thursday, September 12, Role Model has added an intimate show at the Troubadour on Tuesday, July 23.

You can also meet Role Model by attending his signing at Fingerprints Music in Long Beach on Wednesday, July 24.

The month-long celebration continues with one of the biggest events kicking off this Saturday as our Show of the Night: Outloud Music Festival at WeHo! The 2-day event starts today with performances by Janelle Monáe, Doechii, Noah Cyrus, Keke Palmer, Channel Tres, Yaeji, Sophie Ellis‐Bextor, Purple Disco Machine, Snow Wife, Kaleena Zanders, Black Polish, Salina Estitties, Shaun Ross, Doug Locke, Pegasus, Aaron Colbert, Kimber Chronic, Nico Craig, Jack Faulkner, Star Amerasu, and Deesco at JJLA at West Hollywood Park.

Sunday's lineup includes Kylie Minogue, Diplo, Ashnikko, Hot Chip (DJ Set), Trixie Mattel (DJ Set), Big Freedia, Vincint, Crystal Waters, Destiny Rogers, Kiesza, Jimi The Kween, Zee Machine, Mez, DJ Daisy O’Dell, Josh Peace, Mike Taylor, Masha Mar, Babiboi, & Casey Alva.

Blink-182 Schedule a Show at SoFi Stadium

Another Coachella 2023 headliner will be returning to Los Angeles, Scenestar readers! Iconic San Diego alternative rock legends Blink-182 will be coming back into town next year when they play in support of their latest release, One More Time, at SoFi Stadium on Saturday, July 6. Pierce The Veil will be their scheduled opener.

You can also meet Blink-182 courtesy of Fingerprints Music in Long Beach on Thursday, October 26, at 2 p.m. PT at a scheduled album signing event.

Shows of the Night: Thursday, October 19th

The weekend is within reach, Scenestar readers! Let's get things started earlier though with a nostalgia act taking our Show of the Night title: RBD! The RBD reunion tour continues as the Mexican Latin pop act will be bringing their "Soy Rebelde Tour" to BMO Stadium (formerly Banc of California Stadium) again tonight near Downtown Los Angeles. You can also see RBD live in Los Angeles on Friday, October 20, and Sunday, October 22.

Contest: Carla Morrison at the Hollywood Bowl

Scenestar favorite Carla Morrison is back! Besides her upcoming in-store signing session on Tuesday, July 25, at 5 p.m. at Amoeba Music in Hollywood, Carla Morrison will be headlining her biggest show ever in Los Angeles when she takes the stage at the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday, August 12, in support of her latest release, El Renacimiento. Opening the show will be Devendra Banhart.

Local Natives Secret Show at the Lodge Room

We have a "secret show" that just became not so secret, Scenestar readers! Local Natives have finally released Time Will Wait For No One today at 9 p.m. PT and will now be giving their fans in Southern California the chance to listen to their new songs live as part of a hometown tour date on Friday, July 7, at the Lodge Room. The band announced the news during their live-stream performance just as their new album went live on all digital streaming services worldwide.

As we previously reported, Local Natives have some FREE performances (with purchase) scheduled at Amoeba Music in Hollywood on Tuesday, July 11; at Fingerprints Long Beach on Wednesday, July 12; and Salzer's Records in Ventura on Thursday, July 13, to celebrate the physical release of Time Will Wait For No One.

Local Natives will also be celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Hummingbird in full at The Ford in Hollywood on Tuesday, August 1, and Wednesday, August 2,

Welcome back to a post-Memorial Day weekend in Los Angeles, Scenestar readers. As we previously reported, The National are back in town to perform in support of their latest release, First Two Pages of Frankenstein, starting tonight at the Greek Theatre with opener Soccer Mommy.
