We made it to the end of the year, Scenestar readers! Sorry we couldn't post more this year because of my chemotherapy, this was still a great year for live music in Los Angeles. You have one more chance to add to your list of great concerts courtesy of our Show of the Night featuring: D-Nice! The legendary "Club Quarantine" DJ will be bringing in 2025 live tonight at one of the city's most iconic music venues, Walt Disney Concert Hall. With Tisha Cambell as host, D-Nice will do his thing with special guests Big Daddy Kane, Case, Kenny Burns, Estelle, Jon B., Tweet, Lady London, Mike Phillips, Nice & Smooth, and Johnny Gill.

2025 is right around the corner, Scenestar readers. Before we say goodbye to the last week of 2024, you should head out for some live music and that includes our Show of the Night: Jeff Tweedy! You can see the Wilco frontman live in the third of four intimate all-ages shows of solo material and Wilco favorites will take place tonight at the Largo at the Coronet. His final two shows of acoustic melodies will take place on Thursday, January 2; and Friday, January 3.

Morrissey will play the last of his two warm-up shows leading up to the New Year's Eve concert tonight at the United Theater on Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles. You can also see former Smiths frontman Morrissey play in Hollywood on Tuesday, December 31, at the Hollywood Palladium with openers Mariachi El Bronx, with a midnight countdown with a balloon drop.

The former Smiths frontman Morrissey is in town for a New Year's Eve show on Tuesday, December 31, at the Hollywood Palladium with openers Mariachi El Bronx, with a midnight countdown with a balloon drop. Before he brings in the new year in Hollywood, Morrissey will also be playing some warm-up shows leading up to the New Year's Eve concert starting tonight, and Sunday, December 29 at the United Theater on Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles.

It's Christmas Eve but we have a few things to give you a heads up on for those of you that want to head out tonight, including our Show of the Night pick: the 65th annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration! Taking place at the Music Center’s iconic Dorothy Chandler Pavilion stage, the free three-hour live production features instrumental music, choral music, and dance performances with comedian Melissa Villaseñor serving as host. The show will also be broadcast live in Southern California on PBS SoCal (KOCE) and live-streamed on pbssocal.org.

We have some cool stuff going on tonight, Scenestar readers. We can make our Show of the Night Billie Eilish once again, but we do have another show we're equally excited about courtesy of Helado Negro! As part of the "Jingle Bell Roxy" concert series, a 12-day concert series in benefit of the Union Rescue Mission in DTLA, Helado Negro will headline a show at The Roxy tonight with opener Maral. The show is also in support of Helado Negro's latest release, Phasor.
