Maná: Add La Residencia Shows at Kia Forum

"La Residencia" continues into the fall, Scenestar readers! As we previously reported, Maná has a series of remaining residency shows at the Kia Forum on Friday, September 16; and Saturday, September 17. Now "La Residencia" will now be extended to Friday, October 21, and Saturday, October 22.

Contest: Avi Kaplan at the Troubadour

Avi Kaplan is ready to rock Los Angeles again this week! The former bass vocalist for Pentatonix has a solo show taking place at the Troubadour on Thursday, June 9, as part of his "I'll Get By Tour." Joining Avi Kaplan is Michigan indie-folk act, Andrea von Kampen. You can also see Avi Kaplan live at Ventura Music Hall on Tuesday, November 29.

Café Tacvba Back at Walt Disney Concert Hall

One of our favorite acts has added two local shows besides their upcoming festival set! Before taking the stage at Besame Mucho 2022 at Dodger Stadium, Café Tacvba is set to return to Walt Disney Concert Hall for the first time since 2017 when they play acoustic sets at the iconic venue on Friday, October 21, and Saturday, October 22.

Viva! LA Booked This Summer at Dodger Stadium

Get ready to welcome back one of the city's best all-ages DIY music festivals, Viva! Instead of taking place at the Glass House in Pomona, the festival will now be taking place on a grander scale at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, June 25. This year's lineup will still feature local favorites as well as up-and-coming indie bands, but will now have arena acts headlining to match the size of their new venue.

We made it to the weekend, Scenestar readers. We have a great start already with one of the biggest residencies taking the title of Show of the Night: Maná! "La Residencia," their series of residency shows scheduled this year at The Forum starts tonight in Inglewood. You can also see them live on Saturday, March 19; Friday, April 22; Saturday, April 23; Friday, June 24; Saturday, June 25; Friday, July 15; and Saturday, July 16. Now "La Residencia" will also be extended to Friday, September 16, and Saturday, September 17, with tickets going on sale for the new dates on Friday, March 25, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.

The weekend is almost upon us, Scenestar readers! Let's get things started early with an epic concert taking our Show of the Night title: Soda Stereo! The icon band's last tour ever celebrates the legacy of their departed frontman Gustavo Cerati with a "Gracias Totales" tour date tonight at The Forum. The show tonight includes bassist Zeta Bosio and drummer Charly Alberti as part of this farewell tour date in Inglewood.

Los Amigos Invisibles Back to Play at the Roxy

Venezuela's Los Amigos Invisibles will be returning to L.A. on their upcoming tour! You can see Los Amigos Invisibles live when they perform at the Roxy Theatre on Thursday, May 12, in support of their latest release, A Typical and Autoctonal Venezuelan Dance Band Remastered.

Besame Mucho Festival 2022 at Dodger Stadium

It looks like fans of mostly all Spanish music genres have a festival to call their own! Dodger Stadium will be hosting the newly announced music festival Besame Mucho, taking place near Downtown Los Angeles, in Chavez Ravine, on Saturday, December 3.

Besame Mucho is a spinoff of Tropicalia, which last took place in 2019 at the Fairplex in Pomona. The festival is set to feature an iconic multigenerational lineup of Latin artists across "Rockero," "Las Clasicas," and "Te Gusta El Pop!" stages

The one-day music festival will feature performances by Ramon Ayala, Banda El Recodo, Banda Machos, Bronco, Cafe Tacvba, Caifanes, El Tri, Elvis Crespo, Enanitos Verdes, Fey, Fobia, Hombres G, Juanes, Kinky, La Sonora Dinamita, Los Angeles Azules, Los Tigres Del Norte, Moenia, Molotov, Nek, Ximena Sariñana, Sin Bandera, Aleks Syntek, Julieta Venegas, and Zoé, among others.
