Cruel World Festival Is Officially Canceled

Bad news Cruel World Festival ticketholders. Goldenvoice has officially canceled it's SOLD OUT festival at the Grounds at Dignity Health Sports Park that was rescheduled to take place on Saturday, May 2, to Saturday, September 12. The lineup consisted of headlining sets by Bauhaus, Blondie, and Morrissey. The list of curated Goth and New Wave acts also included sets by The Church, Cold Cave, Devo, Echo & The Bunnymen, Gary Numan, The Psychedelic Furs, Public Image Ltd., She Wants Revenge, Violent Femmes, and many more.

Bright Eyes Cancel Their Los Angeles Tour Dates

We have some bad news for Bright Eyes in and around Los Angeles. Those hoping to see their upcoming reunion tour in support of Down in the Weeds Where the World Once Was will probably have to wait until next year to possibly see Conor Oberst and the gang after they announced that they canceled their three shows at the Hollywood Palladium and their show farther north of Los Angeles at the Santa Barbara Bowl next month.

New Music Video: Run The Jewels "Ooh LA LA"

Run the Jewels has released a new music video for "Ooh LA LA," a track from their upcoming release RTJ4. The video, directed by Brian & Vanessa Beletic, features Killer Mike and El-P waking up on a day that there is no monetary system. Zach De La Rocha of Rage Against the Machine also makes a cameo in their new music video.

Supergrass Also Playing a Show at No Vacancy

Britpop band Supergrass has another reunion show coming up! As we recently announced, the Oxford band will be playing their first show in Los Angeles since 2010 at the Wiltern on Wednesday, April 1. Now, No Vacancy will be hosting them for an intimate performance on Thursday, April 2.

Bright Eyes Also at the Santa Barbara Bowl

We have one more Bright Eyes reunion show to look forward to! This time Conor Oberst will follow up his recently announced shows at the Hollywood Palladium for three nights on Thursday, May 21; Friday, May 22; and Saturday, May 23, with opener Lavender Diamond with another show at the Santa Barbara Bowl on Sunday, May 24.

This time it comes courtesy of Cruel World Festival taking place the Grounds at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday, May 2, with Bauhaus, Blondie, and Morrissey co-headlining the event. Rage Against The Machine Tour Dates Revealed

For those of you not about to go to Coachella 2020 and ready to travel to see Rage Against The Machine, North American tour dates have finally been revealed with opener Run The Jewels! This includes previously announced "Public Service Announcement" tour dates in El Paso, TX at Don Haskins Center on Thursday, March 26, NMSU Pan American Center at Las Cruces, NM, on Saturday, March 28, and at Gila River Arena in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, March 30, to help warm up for their performances at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. Rage Against The Machine last played in Los Angeles at L.A. Rising on Saturday, July 30, 2011.

Happy Wednesday, Scenestar readers. We're ready to dance and get nostalgic with one of the big reunions we've been looking forward to courtesy of our pick for Show of the Night: Bachata quartet Aventura! Romeo Santos, Lenny Santos, Henry Santos, and Max Agende Santos aka Aventura will headline the first of four nights at The Forum. They will also be performing in Inglewood on Thursday, February 6; Friday, February 7; and Saturday, February 8, as part of La Gira Inmortal North American Tour.
