Scenestar favorite HEALTH have a cool, intimate event coming up next month! Following their recent headlining show at The Belasco in support of Rat Wars, HEALTH will be back again for a Q&A and performance at the Grammy Museum on Friday, August 23, as part of "The Drop."

Contest: The Magnetic Fields at The Ford

We have a special evening of music from The Magnetic Fields coming this week, Scenestar readers! Stephin Merritt will be at The Ford on Wednesday, July 24, as part of the Sound Exploder podcast where he will discuss all things The Magnetic Fields with Hrishikesh Hirway as part of the 25th anniversary of the band's opus, 69 Love Songs, by deconstructing some of the iconic tracks.

This will include an intimate solo performance of these tracks by Stephin Merritt.

We're giving our readers the chance to attend this special night of introspection with a contest for a pair of tickets to the show!

British singer-songwriter Jacob Collier will be playing an all-ages show tonight at the Greek Theatre, in support of his Djesse album series. New Zealand indie pop act Kimbra will be opening his show.

'Stop Making Sense' Screening at the Pantages

One of the best live music concert films has been remastered and coming to the venue where it was filmed! The Talking Heads' 'Stop Making Sense' will be screened on Tuesday, June 4, at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre, which will be hosted by comedian Fred Armisen and will also include a Q&A with the band.

There will also be a tribute performance by Blondshell as part of the "A Night of 'Stop Making Sense''" event.

The amazing lineup of concert options continues, Scenestar readers. Tuesday has a great amount of concert goodness, but we're heading back to Inglewood to check out our Show of the Night: Taylor Swift! The SoFi Stadium takeover continues as "The Eras Tour" hosts Taylor Swift once again tonight with openers Gracie Abrams and Haim. The tour wraps up for Los Angeles with one last show on Wednesday, August 9.

Stephen Sanchez Also at the Grammy Museum

We have yet another local show coming featuring up-and-coming Nashville-based singer-songwriter Stephen Sanchez! As we previously reported, Stephen Sanchez will be returning on Thursday, November 2, and Friday, November 3, to headline a pair of shows at the Wiltern.

Now Stephen Sanchez has added an intimate tour date with Q&A at the Grammy Museum on Friday, August 4.

Andrew McMahon Also at the Grammy Museum

Singer-songwriter Andrew McMahon has another local show coming up in Los Angeles! This time Andrew McMahon has chosen to play an intimate show with a Q&A at the Grammy Museum on Friday, March 24, as part of "The Drop."

Andrew McMahon already has some tour dates booked at Chain Reaction on Thursday, March 30, and Friday, March 31, in support of his latest release, Tilt At The Wind No More.

You can also see Andrew McMahon in a festival setting at Sad Summer Festival at FivePoint Amphitheatre on Saturday, July 29, with Taking Back Sunday, The Maine, PVRIS, and many more.

Amtrac Also Performing at the Grammy Museum

Electronic music producer Amtrac has another local show in Los Angeles! This time Caleb Cornett a.k.a. Amtrac has chosen to play an intimate show with a Q&A at the Grammy Museum on Wednesday, February 15, as part of "The Drop." The Q&A by moderator Orlando Higginbottom of Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs will be followed by a live performance by Amtrac.

Amtrac already has a show booked at El Rey Theatre on Saturday, April 29, in support of his latest release, Oddyssey.
