The 14th annual Pitchfork Music Festival brought a dynamic wave to Union Park, whether it was in the artists performing or the weather that came with it. Searing temperatures and unforgiving humidity hindered attendees for the first half of the weekend, which then gave way to an out of nowhere storm that prompted an evacuation of the festival grounds and canceled some scheduled performances outright.  Once the clouds cleared and the sun was out, the music kicked right back into high gear. New to the festival this year was Pitchfork Radio broadcasting the entire weekend at the festival grounds.

Haim To Perform at the Teragram Ballroom

Hometown favorites Haim have announced an intimate warm-up show to get them ready for their headlining set at Pitchfork 2019! The indie-pop act has chosen the Teragram Ballroom as the location for their underplay on Wednesday, July 17.

The 14th annual Pitchfork Music Festival will take place at Chicago’s Union Park July 19th to the 21st. As domestic festivals are now showcasing more and more talent from abroad, Pitchfork has assembled a strong contingent of artists from around the globe. Swedish songstress Robyn, Scottish indie royalty Belle And Sebastian, Japanese punks CHAI and Cuban sisters Ibeyi are among those who will showcase their global influences. As the festival has always prided itself on representing the city of Chicago, another strong group of local artists makes up part of this year's lineup.
