Let's get down this Wednesday, Scenestar readers. Netflix Is A Joke Fest continues, but so does live music which includes our Show of the Night champ: Royal Blood! British rock duo Royal Blood will be playing three local shows in support of their latest release Typhoons, starting with one tonight at Ventura Music Hall, then at The Novo on Thursday, May 5, at wrapping things up at House of Blues Anaheim on Saturday, May 7. Cleopatrick is scheduled to open all three tour dates.

BUY TICKETS: It’s A School Night! w/ Wens, Flowerkid, Grae, & Finkel at Bardot

It's the first week of May, Scenestar readers. Despite one of the biggest comedy festivals (Netflix Is A Joke Fest) continuing to take over venues this week, there are still some great concert options to kick off the week which include one of our favorite 21+ residencies taking our Show of the Night title: School Night! Back again tonight at Bardot in Hollywood, School Night will feature performances once again from some great up-and-coming acts which include Los Angeles's own Wens, Flowerkid out of Sydney, Australia, Toronto's Grae, and Los Angeles-based electronic soul duo Finkel to wrap things up. Jayo and KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic morning DJ Novena Carmel will serve as hosts this evening. You can also stream the concert online for FREE here on Twitch.

'The Power of The Dog' in Concert at The Ace

Wordless Music and Netflix have teamed up to present a FREE screening and live performance of the score for Jane Campion's The Power of the Dog on Thursday, March 10 at the Theatre at Ace Hotel. The film score was written by Johnny Greenwood of Radiohead and will be performed by the Wordless Music Orchestra.

Dave Chappelle: Three Hollywood Bowl Shows

For those of you that couldn't get tickets to his first two Netflix Is A Joke Fest shows, Dave Chappelle will be giving his fans in Los Angeles a chance to see him live when he plays at the Hollywood Bowl on Thursday, April 28, Friday, April 29, and Saturday, April 30.

For those of you that couldn't make it to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas back in July, Dave Chappelle will be giving his fans in Los Angeles a chance to see him live! You can see Dave Chappelle and friends live when he takes the stage at the Hollywood Bowl on Thursday, October 7. The show will feature a set of stand-up as well as a screening of his "Untitled" documentary.

For those of you willing to travel to Las Vegas, Dave Chappelle will be giving his fans a reason to head over the 4th of July weekend! You can see Dave Chappelle and friends live when he takes the stage at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Friday, July 2. The show will feature stand-up and musical sets as well as collaborative songs, stories, dancing, and more.

"LA Originals" Documentary Premieres on Netflix

"The culture has to be louder than the hate" was one of our favorite quotes from the just-released "LA Originals" documentary on Netflix. The Netflix original documentary tells the story of Los Angeles natives Estevan Oriol and Mister Cartoon as they use their talents to influence the culture and the music scene. The documentary includes interviews with Blink-182, Cypress Hill, Eminem, Kobe Bryant, Snoop Dogg, and more as they tell of their experiences with the pair that used Chicano culture, tattoos, music videos, photography, and cholo iconography to blend the genres by influencing the world with their works of art.
