'Pee-Wee's Big Adventure:' Two at the Wiltern

Everyone get ready to jump on top of a bar and dance to "Tequila" because there's another chance to see Pee-Wee Herman at the Wiltern! Paul Reubens will be joining fans for screenings to celebrate 35 years of his cult classic at the legendary venue on Thursday, February 27, and a newly added screening on Sunday, March 1. Fans in Ventura get to experience 'Pee Wee's Big Adventure' on Friday, January 24, at the Majestic Ventura Theater.

Here we go again, Scenestar readers. One of the legendary artists of our time will kick things off this Tuesday as the recipient of our Show of the Night title: Sir Elton John! His Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour returns for two nights at the Honda Center tonight, and Wednesday, September 11. He will also be back next month to take part in a special Rocketman: Live in Concert event at the Greek Theatre on Thursday, October 17, where Elton John will be joined by the actor who portrayed him in the movie, Taron Egerton, and by the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra to play live-to-picture all the songs from the film during the special screening of Rocketman at the Los Feliz venue.

Sir Elton John's Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour now includes a special one-night-only show taking place right here in Los Angeles! The legendary musician is already performing at the Honda Center on Tuesday, September 10, and Wednesday, September 11. Now he will take part in a special Rocketman: Live in Concert event at the Greek Theatre on Thursday, October 17. Contest: Black Movie Soundtrack III at the Hollywood Bowl

One of the coolest musical events at the Hollywood Bowl returns for a third year! Black Movie Soundtrack III returns on Wednesday, September 25, with musical director Marcus Miller and Reginald Hudlin presenting the best in black film music, with Craig Robinson serving as host. The big musical event will feature themes, scores, and songs that have set the tone for eight decades of black cinema with El DeBarge, Dionne Farris, Chaka Khan, Meshell Ndegéocello, Raphael Saadiq, Charlie Wilson, BeBe Winans, and more providing the vocals and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra coming through with the musical backing for the tracks. Melanie Martinez to Play at Hollywood Palladium

Singer-songwriter Melanie Martinez is back with a new album and North American tour. Performing in support of upcoming release K-12, Melanie Martinez will play a pair of local tour dates at the Hollywood Palladium on Saturday, November 9, and at House of Blues Anaheim on Sunday, November 10. K-12 will be released as a film and album on September 6.
