CHVRCHES Add a Show at The Masonic Lodge

Scottish indie-pop band CHVRCHES have a special show planned coming up in support of their latest release Screen Violence! Besides from their previously announced at the Hollywood Palladium on Friday, December 17, & Saturday, December 18, with opener Donna Missal. Now CHVRCHES will be giving fans another chance to see them live at an intimate setting at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Friday, August 27.

KROQ, Matty from The 1975, and flyers all over Los Angeles made this underplay one of the worst-kept secrets ever for a "Localchella" show, but it looks like the band is set to play an intimate tour date at The Roxy on Wednesday, April 10 (Now officially confirmed by the band). The 1975 are already playing a SOLD OUT Santa Barbara Bowl on Sunday, April 21, with openers Pale Waves and No Rome. You can see The 1975 at Coachella 2019 on Friday, April 12, and Friday, April 19.

Katy Perry to Play at the Theatre at Ace Hotel

We have another local Katy Perry date to share with you Scenestar readers! This time she'll be playing an intimate date in support of latest release Witness, at the Theatre at Ace Hotel on Monday, September 10, courtesy of the Citi Sound Vault® concert series. Katy Perry is also headlining the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, September 30, as part of the L.A. Phil's 100th birthday celebration, Season of the Century.

LA Phil Celebrates 100 Years With Free Concerts

Get ready to celebrate 100 years of the Los Angeles Philharmonic with a massive 8-mile long street party! The event will connect between Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl, where on Sunday, September 30, Gustavo Dudamel leads the Los Angeles Philharmonic in a free concert featuring special guests Katy Perry, Herbie Hancock, Kali Uchis, and Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA) at the Hollywood Bowl.

There will also be free performance hubs at Walt Disney Concert Hall (Grand Ave. between 1st St. and 3rd St.), Levitt Pavilion Los Angeles in MacArthur Park (Park View St. between Wilshire Blvd. and 6th St, inside the park), Koreatown (Liberty Park at Wilshire Blvd. between Serrano Ave. and Oxford Ave.), Melrose (Melrose Ave. at N. Windsor Blvd.), Hollywood (Vine St. between Hollywood Blvd. and Yucca St.), and the Hollywood Bowl (Kagan Patio). Some of the artists performing along the route include Phoebe Bridgers, Las Cafeteras, Dengue Fever, Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, Ozomatli, Pink Martini, and many more.

Vampire Weekend at the Novo by Microsoft

There's yet another chance to see Vampire Weekend at intimate venue coming up! The band already played a pair of local tour dates at the Libbey Bowl and at the Observatory in Santa Ana last month. This time Vampire Weekend will team up with Richard Pictures (featuring Time Crisis’ Jake Longstreth) once again for a headlining show on Thursday, July 12, at the Novo by Microsoft.

The Growlers Pop-Up At Constellation Room

The Growlers have announced a secret show tonight! The band writes via Facebook: "The Growlers have announced a secret Orange County performance at The Constellation Room, Santa Ana, tonight, Tuesday, July 7." Tickets for this show will not be for sale. Instead, you can purchase a lottery ticket for $1.00 at the Constellation Room box office. The line to purchase lottery tickets begins at 5:00 p.m. Lottery winners will be chosen at random and will have a plus-one.

Kraftwerk Ticket Registration Starts Today

As we previously reported, German electronic pioneers Kraftwerk will come to Los Angeles for a series of rare 3-D concerts next year! Kraftwerk will perform their entire catalog of eight albums (Autobahn, Computer World, The Man Machine, The Mix, Radio-Activity, Techno Pop, Trans Europe Express, and Tour De France) during a series of performances as part of the Minimalist Jukebox Festival, which will take place from March 16 to May 4. The Kraftwerk dates will take place between Tuesday, March 18; Wednesday, March 19; Thursday, March 20; and Friday, March 21, at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
