The Chats Have a Halloween Show at The Novo

Get ready to welcome back Scenestar favorite, The Chats! The Australian punk band will be making their return to Los Angeles with a pair of all-ages shows at the Fox Theater in Pomona on Friday, September 29, and a spooky Halloween show at The Novo on Tuesday, October 31, in support of their latest release, Get Fucked.

Cosmic Psychos, The Schizophonics, and Gymshorts will open both shows.

Destructo "Sunrise Sermon" Set at Avalon

For those of you that want to get your dance on early in the day or extend your weekend of Halloween partying, then we have the event for you! HARD Fest founder Destructo brings his "Sermon Live" sunrise set to Avalon Hollywood on Saturday, October 30, which kicks off at 6 a.m. sharp.

Two 'Nightmare' Shows at Banc of California

We have more Danny Elfman to share with you, Scenestar readers! As we previously reported, one of our favorite annual Halloween events will be back next month, Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas Live-To-Film Concert Experience featuring Danny Elfman, at Banc of California Stadium on Friday, October 29. The event is back with a full orchestra and choir performing with conductor John Mauceri. Other participants will be announced at a later date, but past guest slots have included appearances by Catherine O'Hara, Ken Page, and Paul Reubens.

Now, a second show has been added on Sunday, October 31, for those of you that wanted to partake on Halloween.

Also, attendees can participate in a costume contest, and there will be trick-or-treating.

Junior Mesa Halloween at the Moroccan Lounge

Bakersfield-raised indie rock act Junior Mesa will be taking the stage on Halloween! He will be teaming up with Viva! Presents for a FREE "Halloween Apocalypse" at the Moroccan Lounge on Sunday, October 31, when Junior Mesa plays in support of his EP release Cirque Du Freak. Costumes are welcomed and encouraged at the show since someone can win $666 for best costume.

Outside Lands Reveal New 2021 Festival Dates

Our favorite Bay Area summer music festival will be back in the Fall, Scenestar readers! Outside Lands will be skipping the summer and coming back to San Francisco's Golden Gate Park from Friday, October 29, to Sunday, October 31, Halloween weekend. This year's festival lineup includes headliners Lizzo, The Strokes, and Tame Impala. Happy Halloween, Scenestar readers. We're wrapping up "Rocktober" in a big way with The Growlers topping our list for Show of the Night! The Growlers' yearly music event will be taking place at the Hollywood Palladium starting tonight Beach Goth Halloween wrapping up after three performances in a row on Saturday, November 2. This year’s Beach Goth is the band's eighth and will feature special guests, surprises, oddities, art installations and of course, unique headline sets by The Growlers each night. The band just recently released a new album, Natural Affair.
