FYF Fest 2016 Releases Weekend Set Times

FYF Fest 2016 is this weekend! After hinting at some of the festival schedule, festival organizers have now released the complete set times for the bands performing at the Los Angeles Sports Arena & Exposition Park on Saturday, August 27—with headliners Kendrick Lamar and Tame Impala—and Sunday, August 28—with headliners LCD Soundsystem and Grace Jones. On the road in support of latest release Sprained Ankle, Julien Baker will take the stage at El Rey Theatre on Thursday, August 25, with openers Phoebe Bridgers and Julia Jacklin. Also, Julien Baker will perform at FYF Fest 2016 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena & Exposition Park on Sunday, August 28. FYF Fest 2016 Set Times Discussed On KCRW

Check it out, FYF Fest fans! This morning on 89.9 FM KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic, DJ Jason Bentley interviewed FYF Fest founder Sean Carlson regarding this year's festival and gave attendees some news regarding new stage The Club, which replaces the Arena Stage. (It will be one of five stages.) Were you curious about Sean Carlson's favorite act booked over the event's 13 years? His answer: Grace Jones.

Some set times announced during the interview included Grimes, Tame Impala, and Kendrick Lamar on the Main Stage on Saturday. Preoccupations (formerly Viet Cong) will open up the festival on Sunday, followed by Wild Nothing, Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires, Anohni (their only American festival appearance in 2016), and Young Thug on the Lawn Stage. The Black Madonna will be on the Woods Stage at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, and on the Main Stage, you can see Blood Orange, followed by Father John Misty, Grace Jones, and LCD Soundsystem. Pond Schedules Show At Teragram Ballroom

Australia's Pond has an upcoming local tour date! On the road in support of latest release Man, It Feels Like Space Again, the Perth psychedelic rock act, which features members of Tame Impala, will take the stage at Teragram Ballroom on Monday, October 17. Tickets for this all-ages show will go on sale via Ticketmaster on Friday, August 19, at 10:00 a.m. for $16.00 each plus service fees.

Father John Misty Adds El Rey Theatre Show

FYF Fest 2016 act Father John Misty has scheduled his own FYF Fest 2016 After Dark show! In support of last year's I Love You, Honeybear, Father John Misty will headline an all-ages show, with opener Tess & Dave, at El Rey Theatre on Friday, August 26—right before FYF Fest 2016!
