Coachella 2020 Postponed Until to October

It's time to adjust your plans, Scenestar readers. Goldenvoice has officially announced that Coachella 2020 due to current global coronavirus transmission concerns. One of the biggest and best-known festivals in the U.S. is moving from their originally scheduled dates: Friday, April 10, to Sunday, April 12, (Weekend 1) and Friday, April 17, to Sunday, April 19, (Weekend 2) to Friday, October 9, to Sunday, October 11, (Weekend 1) and Friday, October 16, to Sunday, October 18, (Weekend 2). No details have been released on whether the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, will still feature performances by headliners—Frank Ocean, Rage Against The Machine, and Travis Scott. on both festival weekends.

Hollywood Bowl Release Their 2020 Schedule

One of our favorite summer concert announcements is here! The Hollywood Bowl has revealed who's performing during their 99th summer season, which includes a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. The Los Angeles Philharmonic has announced its schedule, and there are a lot of exciting options once again this year. The Hollywood Bowl 2020 concert calendar includes performances by The B-52s, The Beach Boys, Berlin, Andrew Bird, James Blake, Calexico, Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow, Jamie Cullum, Flying Lotus, John Fogerty, Herbie Hancock, Debbie Harry, Hiatus Kaiyote, Brittany Howard, Iron & Wine, Lake Street Dive, Maxwell, Janelle Monae, Parcels, Polo & Pan, Poolside, Diana Ross, Jill Scott, Thundercat, Charlie Wilson, and many more. Also, the Los Angeles Philharmonic conductor—and Scenestar favorite—Gustavo Dudamel will once again make several appearances for orchestral performances as well as the annual KCRW Summer Concert Series will be returning with some of our favorite acts. More artists will be added closer to the general on-sale date.

Courtney Barnett Benefit Show at Palace Theatre

We have another special show coming up featuring Melbourne, Australia's own Courtney Barnett! The singer-songwriter already has a SOLD OUT performance booked at Pappy & Harriet's Pioneertown Palace on Friday, January 31, with Melbourne-via-Germany musician Hachiku. Now Courtney Barnett is now teaming up with the legendary Newport Folk Festival for a special night of surprise collaborations at the historic Palace Theatre on Friday, February 14, to raise funds for music education in underserved communities.

BottleRock Napa Reveals 2020 Festival Lineup

Another California music festival has announced its lineup this month! BottleRock Napa 2020—which will take place Friday, May 22, to Sunday, May 24, at Napa Valley Expo and Fair Grounds—will give you a reason to head up to Northern California and over to Napa Valley on Memorial Day weekend. This year's festival headliners include Dave Matthews Band, Stevie Nicks, Red Hot Chili Peppers. Other artists on the bill include Atlas Genius, The Avett Brothers, Blondie, Digable Planets, Empire of the Sun, Finneas, Foals, Jimmy Eat World, Khalid, Local Natives, Milky Chance, Janelle Monae, Of Monsters and Men, Anderson .Paak, Maggie Rogers, Tegan and Sara, Zedd, and many more.

The news is finally out, Scenestar readers! Goldenvoice has announced the lineup and on-sale info for Coachella 2020. The biggest and best festivals in the U.S. is scheduled to take place on Friday, April 10, to Sunday, April 12, (Weekend 1) and Friday, April 17, to Sunday, April 19, (Weekend 2) at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, with this year's headliners—Frank Ocean, Rage Against The Machine, and Travis Scott,—taking the stage at Coachella 2020. County Holiday Celebration! Taking place at the Music Center’s iconic Dorothy Chandler Pavilion stage, the free three-hour live production features instrumental music, choral music and dance performances and will be broadcast live in Southern California on PBS SoCal (KOCE), and live-streamed on pbssocal.org if you can't make it out.

Contest: White Christmas Sing-Along at WDCH

Look at what's back just in time for the holiday season! The LA Philharmonic and Paramount Pictures are teaming up once again for a special screening at Walt Disney Concert Hall featuring the classic 1954 holiday film White Christmas on Sunday, December 22, at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. as part of a Sing-A-Long event. The film will be presented with all the lyrics on-screen to that you can sing to your heart’s content along with Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Danny Kaye, and the film’s remastered soundtrack. Attendees are invited to arrive early to visit the venue's Winter Wonderland in BP Hall. We're giving our readers the chance to attend the 8 p.m. screening via a special ticket giveaway!
