W.H. Lung L.A. Debut Show Booked at The Echo

One of our favorite up-and-coming live acts will finally be coming to Los Angeles for the first time ever! The indie rock band out of Manchester will be making their long-awaited L.A. headlining debut when W.H. Lung headlines at The Echo in Echo Park on Wednesday, October 11, in support of their latest release, Vanities. W.H. Lung made their U.S. debut at SXSW 2022.

The last day of September is also one of the most stacked concert dates of the year, Scenestar readers. Multiple concerts could be #1 tonight but Bad Bunny narrowly takes the title of Show of the Night! Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio aka Bad Bunny will be be performing in support of El Ultimo Tour Del Mundo, with Diplo at SoFi Stadium tonight, as part of World's Hottest Tour. Inglewood football stadium will also host the Puerto Rican superstar on Saturday, October 1. You can secure parking here.

Desert Daze 2022 Set Times Released

We're only one weekend away from the return of Desert Daze! As we previously announced, Desert Daze will be returning to Moreno Beach at Lake Perris from Friday, September 30, to Sunday, October 2, for their 10th edition of the festival and we're happy to see that set times have finally been revealed!

Headlining the festival this year are King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, and Tame Impala (Playing Lonerism in full). Beach House will be replacing Iggy Pop as the Sunday headliner.

Other highlights in this year's lineup include Chicano Batman, The Marías, Sky Ferreira, Cortex, BADBADNOTGOOD, Boy Pablo, Perfume Genius, Reggie Watts, Aldous Harding, Men I Trust, Mild High Club, Viagra Boys, Cymande, Shannon and the Clams, Nation Of Language, Duster, Nilüfer Yanya, Show Me The Body, Daniel Rossen (of Grizzly Bear), Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Surfbort, L.A. Witch, Automatic, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, The Paranoyds, JJUUJJUU, ZO, Surprise Chef, Black Country, New Road, Lady Wray, and many more.

The grounds will also be illuminated by an array of video artists and art installations including work by Tarik Barri, Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show, Slim Reaper, and more. Multidisciplinary artist Cristopher Cichocki also returns to the beach, curating this year’s installment of The Sanctuary featuring clipping., Silent Servant, Kid 606, and more, as well as Cichocki’s own Circular Dimensions Immersive Sound Installation and DJ sets from Nosaj Thing and Telefon Tel Aviv.

Men I Trust to Play at the Hollywood Palladium

Men I Trust aren't done with Southern California quite yet this year! As we previously reported, the band will be playing a set at this year's edition of Desert Daze at Moreno Beach at Lake Perris from Friday, September 30, but following that up with a show of their own in support of their latest release, Untourable Album, at the Hollywood Palladium on Friday, November 25. Feng Suave and Homeshake open the show.

Viagra Boys to Perform Live at the Belasco

We're excited to get a local show by Viagra Boys to look forward to, Scenestar readers! Besides performing this year at Desert Daze 2022, you can now catch garage punk act Viagra Boys as they perform in support of their latest release, Cave World, live at the Belasco Theater in Downtown Los Angeles on Friday, September 30.

Automatic to Perform at the Regent Theater

Los Angeles-based post-punk trio Automatic has a hometown show coming up! Besides playing a set at this year's Desert Daze, Automatic will also take the stage for their own show in support of their latest release Excess at the Regent Theater on Saturday, August 6.

The Monkees bring their "Farewell Tour" tonight to the Greek Theatre with Michael Nesmith & Micky Dolenz where the pair will be playing their hits to the public on tour one last time after 55 years together.
