Princess To Play Two At Largo At Coronet

Prince tribute act Princess, who performed two shows at the Troubadour last year, has again scheduled two L.A. shows next month! Gretchen Lieberum and Maya Rudolph, AKA Princess, will headline two all-ages shows at the Largo at the Coronet on Thursday, October 13, and Friday, October 14.

Seu Jorge Has Three Shows At Ace Hotel

Seu Jorge has two upcoming shows at the Theatre at Ace Hotel on Saturday, November 26, and Sunday, November 27, performing the soundtrack for the 2004 Wes Anderson film The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, which features his take on classic David Bowie songs. And due to popular demand, the Brazilian musician has added a third date at the DTLA venue on Monday, November 28!

Contest: Gabba Gabba Heys At Troubadour

The Troubadour will host a fun night of cover bands this week! The Gabba Gabba Heys (a cover band of Ramones), Geezer (a cover band of Weezer who will perform Pinkerton), Black Crystal Wolf Kids (an indie rock tribute band), and Skapeche Mode (a ska version of Depeche Mode) all will perform at that West Hollywood venue on Friday, August 19. Carolina & Ana (CSS) DJ Set At Amoeba Music

CSS's Ana Rezende and Carolina Moraes Parra will perform a DJ set at Amoeba Music as part of the Hollywood record store's Summer Sweat DJ series!

The DJ set will take place on Sunday, August 14, at 2:00 p.m.

Seu Jorge Pays Tribute To Bowie At Ace Hotel

Seu Jorge has announced an upcoming tour that will pay tribute to the late David Bowie. The Brazilian musician will perform his soundtrack for the 2004 Wes Anderson film The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, which features his take on classic David Bowie songs, at the Theatre at Ace Hotel on Saturday, November 26. Of the songs, David Bowie has said: "Had Seu Jorge not recorded my songs in Portuguese, I would never have heard this new level of beauty which he has imbued them with."

Moving Units Add Another Night At The Echo

Local favorites Moving Units will extend their time at The Echo! The L.A. band has scheduled an August 7 show at the Echo Park venue to cover songs by Joy Division, and now a second show has been added at 8:00 p.m. Second Still will open the 8:00 p.m. show; Viktor Fiction will open the 10:00 p.m. show.
