Y La Bamba to Perform at the Paramount

In support of her latest release, Lucha, experimental indie Latin pop act Y La Bamba will be playing a series of local tour dates! Following this past weekend's performance at Levitt Pavilion, Y La Bamba has now scheduled an upcoming North American tour this fall which will include an all-ages show indoors at Pappy & Harriet's on Friday, October 25; at The Paramount on Saturday, October 26; and at Ventura Music Hall on Wednesday, October 29.

Memorial Day weekend continues, Scenestar readers. This Sunday is stacked with more concert offerings with a legendary act taking our Show of the Night title: Madness! The English ska bad will have everyone skanking up a storm in Inglewood tonight as they headline YouTube Theater as part of their "C’est La Vie in America Tour." Berlin and The Untouchables will be opening up the show.

The holiday weekend is right around the corner, Scenestar readers. Memorial Day will soon be here, but you can start things off early by checking out our Show of the Night: Kraftwerk! Kraftwerk is back in Los Angeles for the first time since 2014 for a series of rare 3-D concerts by the German electronic pioneers for the band's 50th anniversary which continues tonight at Walt Disney Concert Hall with Trans Europe Express.

Remaining Kraftwerk shows include Friday, May 24 (The Man-Machine); Saturday, May 25 (Computer World); Sunday, May 26 (Techno Pop); Tuesday, May 28 (The Mix); Wednesday, May 29 (Tour de France); and Thursday, May 30 (Finale with compositions from the entire catalogue).

St. Vincent to Play a Show at the Greek Theatre

St. Vincent is coming full force to Los Angeles to promote her upcoming release, All Born Screaming this summer! Annie Clark is giving fans a shot to see her live on her upcoming tour when she headlines the Greek Theatre on Friday, August 16.

You can also drive north to the Majestic Ventura Theater on Wednesday, May 22, to see St. Vincent live with opener Momma.

Explosions In The Sky Have Shows at the Wiltern

Back for the first time since 2019 is experimental post-rock act Explosions in the Sky! Their upcoming North American tour will be bringing Explosions in the Sky to the Wiltern on Wednesday, January 24, and Thursday, January 25; at the Majestic Ventura Theater on Friday, January 26, and at House of Blues Anaheim on Monday, January 29.

The show is in support of their latest release, End.

Slowdive Back to Play the Fox Theater Pomona

We're excited to welcome back British dream pop act Slowdive to Southern California, Scenestar readers! Following their previous tour stops at The Bellwether, on Saturday, October 14, and Sunday, October 15, Slowdive is set to play a bit farther out when they take the stage at the Majestic Ventura Theater on Thursday, April 25, and at Fox Theater Pomona on Friday, April 26, with opener Drab Majesty.

There are no metro Los Angeles tour dates currently scheduled at press time. The tour is in support of their current release, Everything Is Alive.

Jenny Lewis to Perform at Hollywood Palladium

Jenny Lewis is back with a new album and an upcoming West Coast tour! In support of her latest album release Joy'All, Jenny Lewis will headline a show at the Hollywood Palladium on Friday, December 8.

You can also see Jenny Lewis live on her "Joy' All Ball Tour" at Ventura Music Hall on Monday, November 27, and at the Observatory in Santa Ana on Wednesday, December 6.

Contest: Jackie Greene at the Troubadour

American singer-songwriter and musician Jackie Greene has an upcoming local tour date. After performing at Ventura Music Hall on Friday, May 12, Jackie Greene will then headline an all-ages show at the Troubadour on Saturday, May 13.
