Massive Attack Postpone Their U.S. Tour

UPDATE: Tour dates have now been rescheduled

For those of you that have been waiting almost five years for the return of Massive Attack, you may have to wait a bit longer to see them live in Los Angeles. The band has announced that they will be postponing their upcoming Mezzanine XX1 North American tour dates due to illness. The postponement affects upcoming Massive Attack tour dates in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium on Friday, March 29; Saturday, March 30; and Sunday, March 31. This is also bad news for those of you planning on heading up to Northern California to see them live at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, on Thursday, March 28th, and down south at Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at SDSU in San Diego, CA, on Tuesday, April 2. Rescheduled tour dates will be announced on Thursday, March 14.

Cuco Involved In A Traffic Accident On Tour

Bad news for fans of Cuco and his band. The group was involved in an accident near Nashville, Tennessee early Monday morning when a big rig hit their tour van off the side of the road. The two passengers in the tractor-trailer were unharmed, but all 10 people on tour received injuries.

New Music Video: St. Vincent "Fast Slow Disco"

St. Vincent is back with a new music video for a re-imagined version of her single "Fast Slow Music," off of her latest release Masseduction. The music video was produced by Annie Clark and Jack Antonoff.

Following her electric sets at Coachella 2018, St. Vincent is on tour but doesn't have a return date thanks to the cancellation of FYF Fest 2018. We'll keep you posted on the next time St. Vincent plays a date here in Los Angeles, Scenestar readers!

Low End Theory to Close Down In August

One of Los Angeles' longest running residencies is coming to a close. Low End Theory has announced that it will wrap up it's weekly run at The Airliner in Lincoln Heights starting tonight, and finishing things off on Wednesday, August 8. That's ten opportunities for fans of one of Los Angeles' most unique nights of music to say goodbye.

In the past, Low End Theory has hosted a variety of live acts and DJs, including Erykah Badu, Crystal Castles, Daedelus, Flying Lotus, Nosaj Thing, School of Seven Bells, Amon Tobin, Tokimonsta, Thom Yorke (of Radiohead), as well as resident DJs Daddy Kev, Gaslamp Killer, and DJ Nobody. Low End Theory took place every Wednesday night at The Airliner since it's start in 2006, with offshoots taking place in other cities, from San Francisco to Tokyo. There was also several Low End Theory festivals that took place over the course of it's lifespan at Echoplex and Shrine Expo Hall.

New Music Video: Rhye "Phoenix"

Rhye has a new music video out for his single "Phoenix," off of latest release Blood, which was directed and produced by Rhye frontman Mike Milosh and his creative director/girlfriend Geneviève Medow Jenkins. The music video is a stunning fashion-forward film displays a powerful narrative with symbolic visuals centered around change and rebirth.

Even though FYF Fest 2018 was canceled, you can still see R&B musical project Rhye live when he plays at the Glass House on Thursday, October 18. FYF Fest 2018 "Side Shows" Announced

Just because FYF Fest 2018 was canceled, it doesn't mean you can't see some of the festival acts this summer! Some of the scheduled acts that were set to play at Exposition Park on Saturday, July 21, and Sunday, July 22, will be back for their own headlining shows at the Echo, El Rey Theatre, Lazaro's Latin Lounge, the Roxy, the Observatory, Shrine Expo Hall, and the Wiltern. This includes shows coming up featuring Bicep, Car Seat Headrest, Glassjaw, Kali Uchis, My Bloody Valentine, Lawrence Rothman, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, U.S. Girls, and more.

Car Seat Headrest Headlines the Wiltern

Following the cancellation of FYF Fest, Car Seat Headrest has scheduled another L.A. appearance! He'll headline an upcoming all-ages show at the Wiltern on Friday, July 20.

FYF Fest 2018 Has Been Canceled

Bad news FYF Fest fans. The beloved yearly music festival was canceled for 2018. This year's headlining sets included Janet Jackson, Florence + the Machine, St. Vincent, The XX, and My Bloody Valentine, among others. The festival was to be held at Exposition Park on Saturday, July 21, and Sunday, July 22. Although it can not be verified officially at press time, Billboard states poor ticket sales as the cause.
