George Clinton to Perform at the Greek Theatre

The Greek Theatre is going to be bumping this summer with one of the last Los Angeles tour dates for George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic! The P funk masters bring their final One Nation Under A Groove tour to the Los Feliz venue on Friday, August 2nd, with openers Dumpstaphunk, Fishbone, and Miss Velvet and the Blue Wolf.

Grizzly Bear Hint at Possible Break Up

Possible bad news for fans of the band Grizzly Bear. In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, Ed Droste hinted that this upcoming tour date at the Hollywood Bowl might be one of their last shows ever. According to the interview, Grizzly Bear have no plans to book any further shows outside of their currently scheduled tour in support of Painted Ruins.

Die Antwoord Bring Their Tour To The Shrine

This is it, Scenestar readers. It's time to wave goodbye to the weekend with our selection for Show of the Night, Chairlift! This will be Chairlift's last tour, since the duo has decided to break up and move on to other projects: Patrick Wimberly will produce records full-time, and Caroline Polachek will pursue her solo career. The band's last-ever Los Angeles show will take place at the Echoplex today at 2:00 p.m., with special guest Kristin Kontrol.

Chairlift Adds Second Show At Echoplex

As announced earlier, Chairlift has scheduled their last L.A. show at the Echoplex on Saturday, April 8. And that 18+ show is now SOLD OUT, so Patrick Wimberly and Caroline Polachek have added a second show at the Echo Park venue on Sunday, April 9, at 2:00 p.m. Tickets for this all-ages show will go on sale Friday, January 20, at 12:00 p.m. via Ticketfly for $18.50 to $23.50 each plus service fees.
