We're both excited and sad to see Nine Inch Nails announce an L.A. "The Cold and Black and Infinite Tour" date, while at the same time canceling in one fell swoop. According to their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts, Nine Inch Nails has revealed that they will no longer be performing in the Los Angeles edition of Primavera Sound in 2020. The band even released 2020 tour merch to commemorate the tour that never was, with proceeds going to local food banks. The inaugural edition of Primavera Sound L.A. is currently scheduled to take place at Los Angeles State Historic Park from Saturday, September 19, to Sunday, September 20. No news on whether anyone else in this year's festival lineup will no be performing either or if the festival is canceled at press time.
Passes originally went on sale on Friday, June 7, 2019, via Frontgate for $149 each plus service fees with some lucky music goers paying $50 tickets for the chance to attend the festival. We'll keep you posted on any further news regarding Primavera Sound Los Angeles 2020 happening this year regarding cancelations or postponements when we get them, Scenestar readers!

Nine Inch Nails Statement
I was just reminded today marks the two year anniversary of when we made you show up in person for the Cold and Black and Infinite tour. Strange to think about with the world the way it is now. I look forward to the day we can once again safely be in the same space and share the experience of screaming at the top of our lungs at each other.
Speaking of which, I suppose I can let you know we HAD a tour booked this fall that continued and expanded Cold and Black and Infinite. Jehnny Beth was coming along with us. We were excited. I’m bumming myself out right now. The what-could-have-been dates are below and we had some merch for that tour in production that we’re putting in the store with all of NIN’s profits going to local food banks in the cities we were going to play. http://smarturl.it/NINOnlineStore
The current plan is to finish up some scoring projects, work on my limited patience skills, deep dive into new NIN material, and hopefully, be playing music live for you in 2021. In the meantime… listen to Jehnny’s record (comes out June 11), continue to listen to Bowie, and don’t be too hard on yourself.
