The iconic "Halloween" theme is pressed on limited-edition orange vinyl ('tis the season) and in addition to the Reznor/Ross version, the original by John Carpenter is also included. "Moody and dark, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ version of Halloween does amazing justice to the original. I’m impressed," states Carpenter.
Says Reznor, who recently opened up about working at Apple Music among other things, on NIN.com, "I clearly remember my friends and I at 13 years old conning our parents into letting us see Halloween when it came out in 1978. We left the theater forever changed. We were damaged and scarred, with the shit genuinely scared out of us and that theme stuck firmly in our heads. John Carpenter, it's your fault that I turned out the way I did."
(Thank you John Carpenter!)
When we checked on the NIN store we saw that the orange vinyl is sold out but you can still get this on black vinyl. Get it here: NIN store. You can also get it from Sacred Bones, the label who released the vinyl: Sacred Bones store. Listen to the Reznor/Ross version below.
