R.I.P. Prince Rogers Nelson, Dead At Age 57

It's a sad day in music, Scenestar readers, with the passing of Prince Rogers Nelson at age 57. According to a story that broke courtesy of TMZ, he was found unresponsive in his Paisley Park home in Minneapolis, Minn. No cause of death has been released as of press time, but he had canceled a previous date in Atlanta due to flu symptoms. The last time Prince performed in Los Angeles was in support of Liv Warfield at the Hollywood Palladium in 2014, with NPG Hornz and his backing band 3rd Eye Girl. Prince also headlined two nights with 3rd Eye Girl in 2013 at City National Grove of Anaheim.

There are several tributes scheduled tonight in Los Angeles, and we also expect there to be tributes at Coachella 2016, a festival that he headlined in 2008. R.I.P. Prince.
