One of our favorite summer festivals is only weeks away! A new and improved FYF Fest 2015 will be held at the Los Angeles Sports Arena & Exposition Park near USC on Saturday, August 22, and Sunday, August 23. In addition to a great lineup, FYF Fest 2015 also will feature many improvements, including expanded entrances, more efficient walkways, access to more bathrooms, and an additional stage. After some of last year's issues, festival organizers are ready to prove that this second year at Los Angeles Sports Arena & Exposition Park will run much smoother.
As previously reported, Frank Ocean will headline Saturday, August 22, and Morrissey will headline Sunday, August 23. Also scheduled to perform: Alvvays, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Battles, Belle & Sebastian, Bloc Party, Broncho, Cold Cave, D'Angelo and the Vanguard, Death Grips, Deerhunter, Mac DeMarco, Dinosaur Jr., The Drums, Chet Faker, Flume, DJ Harvey, Health, Jon Hopkins, Tobias Jesso Jr., The Jesus and Mary Chain, FKA Twigs, Nicolas Jaar, Kaytranada, Lower Dens, Laura Marling, Melody's Echo Chamber, Neon Indian, Purity Ring, Run The Jewels, Savages, Shlohmo, Solange, Spiritualized, Tennis, Thee Oh Sees, Title Fight, Toro Y Moi, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and many more! If you would like to attend the new and improved FYF Fest, we're hosting a contest for a pair of two-day GA passes to the festival!
To enter, leave a comment below to let us know what you're looking forward to at this year's FYF Fest (e.g., venue improvements, bands, sideshows, etc.) before Wednesday, August 12, at 8:00 a.m. We will contact the winner directly by the end of that week once the contest concludes. The winner will be chosen at random and is not based on the content of the comment. One entry per person.

FYF was great last year, but they definitely had some logistical issues to sort out. I missed several of my must-see acts (DARKSIDE!) due to some crowd control issues. I'm confident that they've worked out the kinks this time around, and I'd love to go back and see Morriseey, as well as Death Grips, Chet Faker, Nico Jaar, Neon Indian, Run The Jewels, and a bunch of other great acts.

Amongst a lot of other artists I'm most excited to see Bloc Party since I've been listening to them as a kid and never really thought I'd get an opportunity to see them until this lineup came out. I'm looking forward to the new pathway that cuts in between the venue because when I went (by myself) last year it was a very long, lonely walk in between sets. This will make it a lot easier on my feet, thanks guys!

I want to see what Morrissey does. Lately he's been more about drama and being a diva in the media and at his shows than the substance of his music. Of course I would like to hear some Vauxhall & I, and Kill Uncle tracks along with some Smiths tunes. Can't hate the music, but it's hard to believe the person behind it.

I'm looking forward to seeing FKA Twigs and Tobias Jesso Jr., and to check out the awesome new stage!

So many I'm looking forward to...Morrissey, Run The Jewels, D'angelo, Metz, Chet Faker, Belle & Sebastian and a lot more, BUT, most importantly, looking forward to having a festival with this many great acts that I can see for two days and TAKE METRO AND SLEEP IN MY OWN BED AT NIGHT!!!! That is truly amazing and an awesome opportunity.

Honestly, I just want to be able to take my boyfriend. His favorite bands are Jesus and Mary Chain, and Cold Cave, and he wanted to go to FYF so bad this year, but we just couldn't afford it. He's been having some financial struggles because of his job, and I've started school, so we are both kinda broke, and stressed to the max. But he deserves this more than anyone, he really does. He works so hard, and it such an amazing person, and I would love more than anything to be able to give him this.

The return of Death Grips should be pretty amazing. Who know what it will be, but I want to be there!

I'll be there, looking forward to seeing all the diverse acts this year and getting my French music appetite satiated with La Femme and Melody's Echo Chamber!

I am looking forward to attend FYF this year. I have never attended FYF before and I believe this would be a great opportunity for a chance to attend this year. I am in love with the line up, so glad Morrissey is headlining this year. Would love to see Morrissey, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Mac Demarco, The Drums, Fka Twigs, Purity Ring, and much more amazing artist among the line up. I am Most excited to see Morrissey because he brings me such great memories. The first time I came across his music was during my middle school years, it was a song from The Smiths. Ever since I first heard their hit single, 'How soon is now?' I became instantly in love with the chords of the guitars, the beats of the drums, and Morrissey's heart breaking sympathetic voice. I believe this would be an unforgettable experience for me. Thank you for the opportunity.

This will be my first festival since moving back to LA after being gone 1.5 years... No better way to appreciate this city than with this festival. I went three years ago, and have been waiting to return ever since. So I must win!
