One of our favorite summer festivals is only weeks away! A new and improved FYF Fest 2015 will be held at the Los Angeles Sports Arena & Exposition Park near USC on Saturday, August 22, and Sunday, August 23. In addition to a great lineup, FYF Fest 2015 also will feature many improvements, including expanded entrances, more efficient walkways, access to more bathrooms, and an additional stage. After some of last year's issues, festival organizers are ready to prove that this second year at Los Angeles Sports Arena & Exposition Park will run much smoother.
As previously reported, Frank Ocean will headline Saturday, August 22, and Morrissey will headline Sunday, August 23. Also scheduled to perform: Alvvays, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Battles, Belle & Sebastian, Bloc Party, Broncho, Cold Cave, D'Angelo and the Vanguard, Death Grips, Deerhunter, Mac DeMarco, Dinosaur Jr., The Drums, Chet Faker, Flume, DJ Harvey, Health, Jon Hopkins, Tobias Jesso Jr., The Jesus and Mary Chain, FKA Twigs, Nicolas Jaar, Kaytranada, Lower Dens, Laura Marling, Melody's Echo Chamber, Neon Indian, Purity Ring, Run The Jewels, Savages, Shlohmo, Solange, Spiritualized, Tennis, Thee Oh Sees, Title Fight, Toro Y Moi, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and many more! If you would like to attend the new and improved FYF Fest, we're hosting a contest for a pair of two-day GA passes to the festival!

Omg so excited for Belle and Sebastian also Dinosaur Jr! It's pretty exciting Lou is coming out with more solo projects in Sept so to see him with Dinosaur Jr at DUG this year would be sweeet.
I love the LA sports arena and I'm sure this year the new stage will be amazing! Also heard the beer garden is better than ever. Hopefully I win and this broke college student can have the best ending of the summer :)

Looking forward to actually see everyone I want in the Sports Arena. Missed out on a few good sets last year because they didn't open up the top seats. They did on Sunday and hopefully If I win I won't have to walk around the entire coliseum and sports arena so I can get to the main stage. But, after all that nonsense I would love to see Run the Jewels, D' Angelo, Flume, Chet Faker, Jon Hopkins and Nicholas Jar (Darkside was awesome last year) and hopefully all the cool and friendly people there!
Thanks for the opportunity.

I am looking forward to just about everything at FYF Fest this year! Last year was my first and it was a bit of a mess to be honest, especially waiting in line for 2 hours to get in on Day 1. Nonetheless, it was still without a doubt one of the most amazing festivals I have ever attended due to the flawless music. Unfortunately I can't afford to go this year, so winning would be so amazing! I am looking forward to getting into the actual festival in a timely manner and the new and improved times that allow the arena to go past the headliners is amazing! The food last year was incredible and I am sure they are going to do an amazing job this year as well! Also, meeting some of my favorite artists at the Origami Vinyl tent last year was so perfect so that would be ideal to have back this year as well! Now for the music, the whole lineup is absolutely stacked! Two of my favorite sets from last year were Run the Jewels and Chet Faker. So the fact that they are both back on the same day is literally the most perfect thing that could have happened for me. Frank Ocean is an artist that I have wanted to see for the longest time and it truly one of the best singers we have right now. It has always been a dream of mine to see him perform live and now is my chance! Bloc Party were literally my favorite band in middle school so it would bring back so many awesome memories seeing them perform. Flume is in a world of his own and I have heard nothing but incredible things about his live sets! Seeing and hearing the sounds of the incredible Harley Streten aka Flume would be beyond amazing and would likely bring me to tears. Death Grips. What more do I need to say honestly? Dixon, Ben UFO, and Joy Orbison would all throw the fuck down in the arena and having the chance to see even one of those three would blow my mind. Honestly, FYF Fest is such an amazing all around festival and winning these tickets from The Scenestar would make my whole year! Thank you for the consideration and the opportunity and I would be forever grateful if you chose me to win!

Looking forward to Frank Ocean [hopefully] dropping some new music!

I am looking forward to a festival that has always been about artists, both older and newer. I think continuing to have it in the heart of LA captures the true essence of Angelenos. I'll be bummed to leave LA next month to start a fellowship in New Mexico.
I'd be most excited about being able to catch all of these acts that rarely, if ever, come to LA. Frank Ocean, Solange, FKA Twigs, Morrissey, and the Jesus and Mary Chain, would make my departure from LA so full of soul. I'm certain it will be a magical night.

Oh my? What am I looking forward to? Frank Ocean, D'Angelo and FKA Twigs are going to be fantastic, I'm sure, but I'm most excited for the Morrissey temper tantrum!

First of all, looking forward to the improvement of admission. Last year was a struggle getting into the festival. Second, it is also nice to see diversity in the line up this year. Including various genres such as hip-hip and R&B. Definitely impressed with the line up. Morrissey! D'Angelo! Can't wait to see Solange hype up the audience with her feel good performance! Also looking forward to seeing FKA twigs captivate the audience with her breath-taking set!
It's great seeing a local festival gaining traction and getting more recognition!
