It is time once again for 89.9 FM KCRW's Spring 2015 Pledge Drive! The Santa Monica-based public radio station is asking for your help to stay on the air and continue to provide quality news and music programming. The radio station started the Spring 2015 Pledge Drive today, May 5, and it will continue until KCRW raises $1,000,000 or May 12—whichever comes first. Once the station raises that amount, 89.9 FM KCRW will go back to its regular programming. You can pledge your support during Morning Becomes Eclectic, featuring Anne Litt and Jason Bentley, or during any of your favorite shows, by calling (800) 600-KCRW; volunteers are answering the phones at the radio station's pledge room. Or you can donate online.
For your donation, you can receive such premiums as restaurant gift certificates, getaways, concert tickets, or enter to win prizes. (This time it's a walking tour of Japan!) You can also donate to 826LA, a nonprofit writing and tutoring organization, as your pledge reward. For donations of $60 or more, you will receive a Fringe Benefits card, which will give you discounts all around town, including a 15% discount at a local favorite of ours, Oinkster!
The Scenestar is an enthusiastic supporter of KCRW, a radio station that is usually the first to play the new bands we grow to love, a sponsor of a lot of great shows here in Los Angeles, and a provider of great news programming throughout the day.
Tune in to 89.9 FM locally or stream live online at KCRW.com during the Spring 2015 Pledge Drive, and make a pledge of any amount! You never know; it might be one of our Scenestar contributors who answers your call!
