Lost in all the talk about The Music Box remaining open is the situation regarding one of our favorite pre-show bars attached to the venue, The Blue Palms. Yesterday we posted a statement by the brew house (Click to view at the jump) regarding their status as part of the future of The Music Box. Unfortunately the Los Angeles Times is reporting that The Blue Palms may not remain open past this Sunday due to issues with the current lease with the venue.
There are already groups on Facebook getting together tonight to send off The Blue Palms at The Music Box before they reportedly close down for good this Sunday. This is unfortunate to hear being long time patrons of the bar where we would get a get a drink, some food to eat or just relax before a show at The Music Box. We wish The Blue Palms well and want to thank them for being part of our live musical experience should this really be their last weekend of existence.

In light of our landlord losing their lease, we are in middle of the fallout. Ww are working very hard to work directly with the owner to resolve. The Blue Palms is a small company and in the world of sterile business, we are pawns. Please stay tuned, we love you guys and we are doing our best to convince the owners of our worth. Please help us in posting your support and we hope to keep you posted.
