Before Memorial Day weekend, Belle & Sebastian gave fans this special message on Friday:
We're still in sunny L.A., in the final stages of recording the album, but plans are already afoot for touring throughout the rest of 2010. See below for a comprehensive list of the festivals and shows we are playing over the summer. After that, and all going to plan, in addition to these listed below we will be squeezing in shows in Canada, Mexico and the USA as well as a trip to South America between now and the end of the year. We've also got a few UK shows to announce later in the year too - so keep checking in.
It looks like the hints are over, because Belle & Sebastian has booked its first North American tour dates since the last time the band performed here, at the Hollywood Bowl in 2006! This time, you can catch Belle & Sebastian at the Hollywood Palladium on Sunday, October 3. The opener will be Jenny and Johnny, Jenny Lewis' and Jonathan Rice's new band. Tickets go on sale via Ticketmaster on Friday, June 4, at 10 a.m. So don't sleep on this one, Scenestar readers, because you don't want to miss Belle & Sebastian's return to Los Angeles!
