Yes, you heard right. Radiohead will be playing their most intimate show in years here in Los Angeles at the Henry Fonda Music Box on Sunday, January 24th to benefit Haiti. As reported on Radiohead's Dead Air Space by Phillip Selway:
We're doing a show this Sunday (24th January) to raise funds for the relief effort in Haiti. The venue is The Music Box Theatre at The Fonda in Los Angeles, doors at 7pm. All proceeds are going to the Oxfam Haiti relief fund. We're trying to raise as much money as possible, so tickets will be sold by auction at this site from 8pm tonight until 11am Saturday (PST):
We're in the middle of recording at the moment, so you'll be catching us on the fly.... but if you're up for it, then we are too. See you then!
Philip

The bidding starts at $100 but I doubt they'll actually go for that much.

So far $300 a pair. This is the part for those people that say they would pay ANYTHING to see Radiohead in a small venue. We'll see what happens especially in this economy but I'm glad it's going to a VERY important cause.

"This is the part for those people that say they would pay ANYTHING to see Radiohead in a small venue."...$hit, I've been THAT GUY. time to nut up or shut up? or just let the rich people enjoy the show? either way it will be interesting to see what the price ends up being.
BOO! for not allowing single ticket purchases (I still fully support the cause, but BOOO! on this count).

Good for Radiohead! I just hope Ticketmaster isn't taking a huge chunk of the proceeds for their "convenience charges"... that should go to Haiti too.
