It’s a lovely day when there is good news from a local favorite! First, we were pretty excited to hear Los Angeles-based Darker My Love had wrapped up production on their second album, brilliantly entitled 2.
Then there was the opening slot for the recent Black Angels show, and now we’ve got word that these guys are doing a few residencies before heading out on the road with yet another Scenestar favorite, The Dandy Warhols. Whoo hoo!
Look for Darker My Love to play The Echo and the Troubadour in late July and early August, respectively, along with a few dates in San Francisco.
July 17 - San Francisco @ Popscene
July 18 - Los Angeles @ The Echo
July 24 - San Francisco @ The Rickshaw Stop
July 25 - Los Angeles @ The Echo
July 26 - Seattle @ Capitol Hill Block Party
August 5 - San Francisco @ The Independent
August 7 - Los Angeles @ Troubadour
The Dandys tour begins Sept. 9 in Minneapolis, and they will visit Los Angeles (sans Darker My Love) on Oct. 3, when they play the Wiltern. Tickets are available this Saturday, June 21, on Ticketmaster and cost $25.
In the meantime, get yourself ready for 2’s August 5 release by listening to the new tracks on the band’s MySpace. Cleverly, two new tracks have been posted. So witty!
