"Rocktober" has come to an end, but not without one of the most star-studded concerts this month featuring our Show of the Night selection, Queens Of The Stone Age! Queens Of The Stone Age are head to Inglewood to play tracks off of their latest release …Like Clockwork at The Forum with openers The KillsJD McPherson and Nick Oliveri. For those in attendance, you can be further entertained with carnival rides and other cool stuff set up especially for the show.
The last week of "Rocktober" is finally here, Scenestar readers. As "Showvember" nears, countless concert options await, including a performance by Tycho, our Show of the Night pick! The Ghostly International artist will headline an all-ages show this evening at the Glass House in Pomona with opener Com Truise. He also will perform at the Ventura Theater on Wednesday, October 29.
If you can't get in to our Show of the Night, your other music options include performances by AEGES, Dream Boys, Ben Howard, La Femme, Guster, Little Dragon, Magic Giant, P L a N E T S, Randsburg, Rachael Yamagata, and many more. Also, tonight is residency night in Los Angeles, so if you're 21 and over, there's a bunch of FREE shows by local bands that you can check out. On tour in support of latest release …Like Clockwork, Queens Of The Stone Age will be performing live at The Forum on Friday, October 31. Opening the show will be The KillsJD McPherson and Nick Oliveri with carnival rides and other cool stuff happening in and around the venue. We want to give our readers the chance to experience all this with a contest for tickets to the show!
We made it to the weekend, Scenestar readers! Once again, there are lots of great options for your concertgoing needs, but for our Show of the Night, we're going with the return of Andy Bell and Vince Clarke, AKA Erasure! English synthpop duo Erasure will perform the first of two local dates at the Hollywood Palladium on Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25, in support of new album The Violet Flame. If you miss these shows, Erasure also will headline the Ventura Theater on Sunday, October 26.
We made it to Wednesday, Scenestar readers. There are many concert offerings to get you over the hump, but one stands above all, and it's our Show of the Night: the return of Nas! To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Illmatic, documentary film Nas: Time Is Illmatic will be screened at the Orpheum Theatre tonight, with Nas performing Illmatic in its entirety following the screening.
One headlining show wasn't enough for Los Angeles, so Broken Bells have two shows this "Rocktober"! After Coachella 2014 and a "Localchella" show at the Fonda Theatre, James Mercer and Danger Mouse will headline the Orpheum Theatre on Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25, with Canada's Austra opening both shows.
