Like we at The Scenestar didn't have enough music based video games to suck the time out of our lives. Now comes DJ Hero set to be released on October 27th on all systems. Daft Punk make a cameo on the DJ Hero trailer and makes us want it right about...NOW. Guess we'll be anxiously waiting till next month for our copy of DJ Hero Scenestar readers!

Contest: Girlie Girl Catfight Show @ El Rey Theatre

Are you a fan of Lucha Vavoom Scenestar readers? Then you're going to love the Girlie Girl Catfight Show. This is taking place this Saturday, July 25th at the El Rey Theatre. The participants are going at it as 1960's spies ala James Bond films. Sounds like something you would dig?

Sonic Youth Listening Party @ Origami Vinyl

Did someone say party? If the answer is yes then it probably came from Origami Vinyl in Silverlake. They will be hosting a listening party for the new Sonic Youth release The Eternal from Matador Records.

The party starts at 6:30pm on Tuesday, June 9th with live performances from Shiloe & Pocahonted. It's also not a party without some free pizza and beer provided by local pizzeria Two Boots plus some special surprises and activities! What more can you ask for? Come on down to Origami Vinyl and support your local indie record shop!

Activision Announces "Guitar Hero 5" Band List

Recently recovered blisters at The Scenestar are now shaking with fear! Activision has announced the list of bands that will be featured in Guitar Hero 5 scheduled to be released September 1st. Giddy with anticipation, The Scenestar will be at E3 in Los Angeles hoping for a demo of this game to try our luck at virtually emulating our favorite bands.
