Morrissey's ill fated Europe tour continues to add to its series of incidents following a collapse by the Moz a few weeks back in Swindon. This time it's a fan instigated cancellation at tonight's show in Liverpool's Echo Arena. After opening with "This Charming Man" and a bit into "Black Cloud", a concert attendee launched a beer bottle at Morrissey while he was shaking hands with fans in the front row. Following being hit in the head, Morrissey then composed himself then said "Goodbye" before walking off the stage with the band as seen in the footage above.
It looks like Jonny Greenwood isn't the only one celebrating a birthday this week. Vice Magazine celebrates 15 years of music, humor and debauchery through the pages of its publication. A staple at our coffee tables, Vice Magazine is bringing more than just laughs when it brings its birthday party to Los Angeles this Friday, November 6th! The party will be taking place at the Los Angeles Ukrainian Center with White Arrows, Brother Reade, Bobby Evans (DJ set), Boom Bip (DJ set), DJ Compact Disc, and very special guests (One has the word "Wolf" in it's name and the other "Disco")
The Los Angeles Ukrainian Cultural Center is located at 4315 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90029 with an open bar all night from 9:00pm - 2:00am for those 21+ only. It's FREE as long as you RSVP by clicking on the link below. Enjoy and Happy 15th birthday Vice Magazine from your local readers at TheScenestar.com.

So you have some creepy cool sounds on vinyl collecting dust? Well it's that time again to dust them off and we have the perfect place to give them a whirl. Vinyl Lover's Lounge, co-hosted by Scenestar favorite DJ Daisy O'Dell and Derek Bevil, will be hosting a vinyl night at Palihouse Holloway's Lounge this Friday, October 30th from 9pm - 1am on Halloween Eve.
It's one of our favorite nights to just bring our records and spin some music but this time we can come in costume or secret identities which is almost the same thing. This is your chance to hit the decks at a cool environment with Derek and Daisy there to offer encouragement during your set. Don't worry about your level of DJing because they're both there to help and they won't bite but we can't promise that after Midnight. So bring out the Bauhaus and Monster Mash to Vinyl Lover's Lounge at Palihouse in West Hollywood!
2009 saw a few festivals come to an end or at least on temporary hiatus for the year. Next year though, we're getting back one of the most popular festivals of the late 1990s, Lilith Fair! Lilith Fair's official website launched yesterday and announced 17 North American tour stops including Los Angeles and an international tour date in London.
Today on September 10th, one of our Scenestar photographers, Amelia Tabullo will be hosting a Art Charity Event @ Gallery 1018 in Downtown Los Angeles with live music & local painters/photographers to help raise funds for the Strongheart Fellowship Program. Proceeds will go towards rebuilding a home in Liberia for orphaned kids who've dealt with the ordeals of civil war. (Currently the roof is being built, woo hoo!)
Please come check it out and have a good time. Here are more details about the event and how you can help at the jump:

Over the past few years, there has been a head to head battle of the festivals here in Los Angeles in what is usually one of the busiest weekends of the year with L.A. Weekly Detour Festival up against Eagle Rock Music Festival.
This year with L.A. Weekly Detour Festival taking a year off, Eagle Rock Music Festival stands alone in making the most of the situation by filling that musical void that you the Scenestar reader always yearns to fill. Better yet, it still remains FREE to the public!
Saturday, October 3rd is the date you want to circle on your calendar now to plan your visit to the home of The Scenestar headquarters in Eagle Rock, CA for a day of great music, food specials and random breakdancers battling in the middle of Colorado Blvd. Especially now that the mystery is over on who most of the acts playing at the 11th Annual Eagle Rock Music Festival are. Check out this group of great artists playing this year at the jump:
