Jay-Z To Play Staples Center

So you didn't get tickets to see Jay-Z with N.E.R.D and Wale at Pauley Pavilion this weekend? Not to worry Jay-Z fans because he's giving you another shot to catch him live on stage! He will be returning on March 4th, 2010 at Staples Center with Young Jeezy as his opener. Jay-Z is currently on tour in support of his newest album The Blueprint 3.

Tickets for the concert go on sale to the public via Live Nation on Saturday, November 14th at 10:00am. There are various presales going on from Tuesday, November 10th till the on-sale date. Andrew Bird To Play USC In 2010

Los Angeles has much love for Andrew Bird for him to stay away from us for too long. Andrew Bird is returning to Southern California with a show at USC's Bovard Auditorium on Saturday, February 20th, 2010 in support of his most recent album Noble Beast.

Tickets are available to students and faculty only so you better make friends quick with a Trojan! General admission tickets for non-students are $50, $30 for USC Faculty and Staff $30, and $20 for USC students with valid ID. The Decemberists Bring The Hazards Of Love Visualized To UCLA

The Decemberists are back on Monday, October 19th at UCLA’s Royce Hall to unveil a special project, "Here Come The Waves: The Hazards Of Love Visualized". This is the Decemberists final American performance and they're making it extra special. The Decemberists will be collaborating with filmmakers Guilherme Marcondes, Julia Pott, Peter Sluszka & Santa Maria who have all created animation to accompany a section of the music that The Decemberists will perform the entire piece synchronized with the animation while also performing an additional set with older and newer Decemberists material.

For $37.50, some of the proceeds will be going towards the Grammy Foundation’s "Grammy In The Schools" music education program for high school students. Tickets for the Decemberists UCLA Royce Hall show that sold via presale today went quickly but you have another shot this Friday, September 18th at 10:00am on Ticketmaster.

Jet Mini Tour Passes Through Key Club

Australia band Jet is coming back to the states! Jet will be starting their tour in the beginning in July in Wisconsin before finally stopping by Los Angeles at the Key Club Thursday, July 16 & moving farther south to House of Blues Anaheim Friday, July 17th in support of their upcoming release Shaka Rock.

Tickets will be going on sale this morning at 10:00am via Ticketmaster. If you want in, be sure to click then at one of the links below to catch Jet on their brief US tour.

N*E*R*D & She Wants Revenge To Headline This Weekend's Heat 2009

Heads up! For those of you looking to make the trek to the 909, N*E*R*D and She Wants Revenge will be playing the annual Heat Music Festival at UC Riverside. Along with the musical performances, there will be DJ sets including friend of The Scenestar DJ Frankie Chan. Tickets are $32.00 via Ticketmaster, $40 at the door. Darfur Now Tour Coming to UCLA

The free shows keep on coming Scenestar fans. This time it’s for a good cause. May 28-29, UCLA will be screening Darfur Now, a documentary shedding a light on the genocide occurring in Sudan’s western region of Darfur. Along with the screening, there will be a FREE concert to promote awareness and funds to help send the message to stop the atrocities now. Artists scheduled to play are OK Go, Nico Vega, Arepa, DJ Ana Dim Mak, Rhymefest and more. Tickets are free on a first come, first served basis. Entrance is guaranteed for attendees of the film screening. Donations are suggested for the show with proceeds going to Genocide Intervention Network (GI Net).
