It's Fat Tuesday, Scenestar readers. And it's also the end of February, but we won't leave the month without a great Show of the Night selection, Lissie! Folk rock act Lissie will perform an intimate show at the Hotel Cafe tonight in support of last year's My Wild West.
If you can't get in to our Show of the Night, your other music options include performances by Bell X1, Birds of Chicago, Run River North, Social Distortion, Ugly God, and many more. Click here for ticket links and info on all of today's shows as well as upcoming local shows on our concert calendar. For any further updates, be sure to also follow us on Twitter for any last-minute news and set times (posted daily in the comments section) if available for select shows!
In support of new album Goths, which will be released May 19 via Merge, Mountain Goats have scheduled an all-ages show at the Mayan on Wednesday, May 31. Tickets for this show will go on sale Friday, February 24, at 10:00 a.m. via Ticketmaster for $28.50 each plus service fees.
Pop folk artist Dar Williams has an L.A. show soon! To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Return to Mortal City, she has an all-ages show at the Troubadour on Thursday, January 12, where she will perform the album in its entirety. If you would like to attend this show, which also will feature a very special reading by noted author Greg Proops, you can enter our contest to win a pair of tickets!
