Contest: Untitled Movie Premiere + Afterparty

No Scenestar fans, they didn't make a movie out of Interpol's hit single. "Untitled" is the new Adam Goldberg comedy where he plays a brooding avant-garde composer that falls for the gorgeous owner of a trendy New York art gallery. We thought we'd give our readers the chance to catch a movie in between Los Angeles' crazy schedule of concerts so we're giving away a pair of tickets to see the Los Angeles premiere on Monday, October 19th at LACMA and to the exclusive afterparty!

There sure is alot of birthday and anniversaries this month and this weekend we celebrate a current Los Angeles institution. Hang The DJs celebrates 6 Years of bring the party to the Eastside and is about to pull out all the stops to celebrate their long existence in the Los Angeles club scene!

Scarlett Casanova is bringing out all the stops for this one with Scenestar favorite Hercules and Love Affair & Sam Sparro spinning some sets along with a fashion show, free Colt 45 from 10:00pm - 11:00pm and more for those that are 18+. How can you go wrong? Entry is $8 all night so come on down and help Hang The DJs celebrate their 6 year anniversary this weekend!

Banana Split Sundaes Postponed Indefinitely

 

The tragic death of Adam Goldstein is also bringing an end to a Los Angeles clubbing institution that DJ AM helped build, Banana Split Sundaes. For the past three years, Banana Split Sundaes has hosted numerous DJ sets and live performances by some of the biggest acts in the world as well as introducing today's breakout stars. In honor of DJ AM, a new version of Banana Split Sundaes will be reincarnated in the near future in honor of Adam Goldstein's memory. For those of you that never got a chance to experience the party or kegs on the dance floor, a collage of Banana Split Sundaes have been compiled by friend of The Scenestar, Mark "The Cobrasnake" Hunter. Free Duke Spirit / Band Of Skulls Afterparty @ HMS

The Duke Spirit and Band of Skulls are wrapping up their tour today at the El Rey Theatre and they want to invite you to celebrate a successful tour together with you! Following their show Tuesday, September 1st, the band will be hosting an afterparty at The HMS Bounty. If you haven't seen either band, we highly recommend you getting tickets if there are any left.

Cut Copy Afterparty Tonight @ Music Box

Were you lucky enough to get tickets for tonight's Cut Copy show at the Henry Fonda Music Box? Well if you're getting there late, there's an added incentive to getting there early now. Cutters Records is hosting a rooftop afterparty after the show.

Cut Copy fans on their guestlist are automatically in but what about you, the regular fan? If that's you, there will be a VERY limited number of wristbands for this special event at the merchandise stand. Show them your ticket, ask about the party and you will get a wristband. Remember that it's very limited and a first come, first served deal. This is only for ticket holders for tonight's show at the Henry Fonda Music Box.
