It wasn't so long ago that Spaceland Productions was running a venue by the same name in Silverlake. Now the promoter is no longer at The Satellite, but has now taken over a Downtown Los Angeles venue! According to Curbed Los Angeles, Mitchell Frank of Spaceland Productions will be the new operator of the Regent Theater located in Downtown Los Angeles in the Old Bank District. Currently Spaceland Productions runs The Echo, The EchoPlex, Malo and El Prado.
According to the story, the venue that has been closed since 2000 besides shows here and there but hoping to have shows there consistently in the Fall. We'll keep you updated with other relevant info concerning the opening of the 1,289 capacity Regent Theater hopefully this year once we get it Scenestar readers!



























I hope this means we'll have less must see bands playing the the god-awful Echoplex.
