Sad news for fans of these two female artists looking forward to their upcoming local performances. Scenestar favorites Adele and Lykke Li are cancelling their upcoming Southern California appearances.
Lykke Li was scheduled to play three radio festivals this weekend starting today in Santa Barbara at KJEE's Summer Roundup at the Santa Barbara Bowl. You can also count out Lykke Li from also performing at tomorrow's KROQ Weenie Roast at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater Saturday and FM 94/9 Independence Jam on Sunday in Oceanside. Her press release doesn't specify the illness but expresses a desire to reschedule appearances in the future. Lykke Li's currently scheduled Greek Theatre date is unaffected at this time.
Adele was next in cancelling the rest of her US tour due to laryngitis which includes local dates at the Greek Theatre on Monday, June 6 and the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday, June 9. Ticketholders for the Hollywood Palladium Adele date are told to hold onto their tickets for now but all others are pending rescheduling for a future date.
