Venice, California duo Honeyhoney have just finished rocking their March Monday night residency at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles this past Monday and are now gearing up for their U.S. tour with Australian folk rock musician Xavier Rudd! Kicking off at the end of April with 21 tour dates, Honeyhoney will be playing one of their last local dates in a while as the opener at the El Rey Theatre on Monday, May 2. If you're feeling like being serenaded by folk fusion tones of rock, blues, and indie rock to start off the week, then we have the contest for you!

If you missed Autolux on their Transit Transit tour last year, you have another chance to see them perform their most recent album live this year! After playing on New Year's Eve with The Raveonettes, Autolux have booked a new date this summer at the Skirball Cultural Center on Friday, July 8 with KCRW DJ Anthony Valadez along with a screening of the 1920 film, "Master Mystery".
The seminal band, X, were one of the early pioneers of punk rock music in Los Angeles, firmly planting their flag in the winds of change that was taking place. But it wasn't in vain. In all respect, X's influence was spawning the next generation showing punk how it's done, L.A. style. X not only taught the possibilities and expansion of rock music, show after show was an experience towards this musical light, and simply, just how to have a great time in this new "church".
Nottingham, England's Tindersticks return to Los Angeles this weekend Scenestar readers! In support of last year's release, Falling Down A Mountain and upcoming box set release, Claire Denis Film Scores 1996-2009, Tindersticks will be playing live at the Luckman Fine Arts Complex on Saturday, April 30.
