Julieta Venegas Upgrades To Nokia Theatre

After performing at the Majestic Ventura Theater and Club Nokia earlier this year, Julieta Venegas is back on the road after taking a break for a maternity leave. The Grammy-winning mother will be returning to perform at House of Blues Anaheim, Wednesday, Feb. 2, 4th & B in San Diego on Friday, Feb. 4 and her in Los Angeles at Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live on Saturday, March 5! If you couldn't make it earlier this year, now you can see Julieta Venegas' new tour in support of her recent release, Otra Cosa.

Contest: The Grouch at the El Rey Theatre

Tis the season for getting ready for the holidays and the gift of music is a great one for us here at The Scenestar. It looks like it's the same for some of our favorite hip hop artists as well this week. The Grouch, Brother Ali, Eligh, Los Rakas have teamed up to perform live at the El Rey Theatre on Wednesday, Dec. 1 for their How The Grouch Stole Christmas tour. It should be a great show, and the Scenestar wants to give the gift of a pair of concert tickets to a lucky reader to see them all live!

Sebadoh To Perform "Bake Sale" Album Sets

Lo-fi indie rock band Sebadoh is back in Los Angeles in December to play the ever popular album set. You can hear Sebadoh play Bake Sale in celebration of the album's reissue live on Thursday, Feb. 24 at the Troubadour and at the EchoPlex on Friday, Feb. 25. Joining Sebadoh will be Quasi.

Morcheeba To Play The Music Box

Skye Edwards has rejoined Morcheeba after leaving the band seven years ago and the band is getting back on the road in 2011! Morcheeba will be on tour in the US in support of their newest release, Blood Like Lemonade, with a date here in Los Angeles at the Music Box on Sunday, March 6.

Robyn is back with a new music video for her single, "Dancehall Queen," off of her latest release, Body Talk. She recently performed in Los Angeles with Kelis at the Music Box, Amoeba Hollywood, then finishing with a headlining show at Club Nokia now so long ago. Robyn is currently scheduled to play some European, Canadian and a handful of US dates but we're hoping she'll return to Southern California in 2011.
