Ghostland Observatory are back for the first time since Sunset Junction this week. The band will be headlining at Club Nokia on Thursday, November 4 in support of their lastest release, Rondo. Scenestar country fans rejoice! The lineup for Stagecoach has been released this week. Stagecoach will be taking place on April 30 - May 1st in Indio, California at the Empire Polo Club. Duffy is back with a new album, Endlessly, out Dec. 7 and she's here in Los Angeles to help promote it! You can see Duffy live at The Roxy on Monday, Nov. 1 at a "secret show". The show is invite only, but you can win your way in by clicking here. Hopefully we'll get a Duffy ticketed show in the near future, but for now this is the only scheduled local date at this time. We'll keep you updated when Duffy returns for a headlining show Scenestar readers!

One of our favorite vocalist, Rubén Albarrán, of Café Tacvba, is back next month! Rubén Albarrán is currently on a solo tour with his new project, Hoppo, with West Coast dates at small, intimate venues including a local date at Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa (his previously scheduled show at House of Blues Sunset Strip was cancelled) as well as an appearance at Hollywood Forever's Day of the Dead event today, Saturday, Oct. 30 for $10! You can see Rubén Albarrán of Café Tacvba headline Detroit Bar on Thursday, Nov. 4 as well as a Bay Area show at Red Devil Lounge in San Francisco on Sunday, Nov. 7.

2009 Coachella artist Throbbing Gristle have announced in a statement this week that they will cease to perform live as a band. With Genesis P-Orridge stating he will no longer perform in Throbbing Gristle, the band has decided to drop the name and perform as X-TG for their remaining European tour dates. No word yet if they will continue performing at X-TG but be thankful for local fans that saw Throbbing Gristle last year at Coachella and the Ricardo Montalban Theatre before they disbanded. The last weekend of Rock-tober falls on Halloween weekend and what better choice for show of the night than one of our favorite Halloween events of the year! KCRW Masquerade Ball is back for a second year of great music, awesome costumes and maybe a ghost or two at the haunted Legendary Park Plaza Hotel. This year's lineup includes Cut Chemist, The Duke Spirit, Gram Rabbit and KCRW DJs spinning in different rooms. We went last year and was one of the best Halloween events we've ever been to. It's close to being sold out so if it is, no worries. There are plenty of other show options tonight including Amon Tobin, Beats Antique, Bloody Beetroots, Janelle Monae, Kid Koala, Of Montreal, Portugal. The Man, Tiger Army, Underworld and many more!
