There's sad news at Scenestar headquarters concerning one of our favorite artists. Vocalist Gustavo Cerati of Soda Stereo has been hospitalized after fainting after a concert in Caracas, Venezuela. The cause of the fainting turned out to be a transient ischemic attack, and he was in intensive care today, May 19, undergoing brain surgery due to a potentially fatal blood clot. Gustavo Cerati has been on tour in support of his latest solo release, Fuerza Natural, and he recently played in Los Angeles at Club Nokia on April 28.
More details concerning his recovery should be known in the next 72 hours, and we at The Scenestar are hoping for the best. We will keep you updated on Gustavo Cerati's condition as we receive further news concerning his recovery.

it's sad that he is in my hometown, and a lot of people are showing their support by congregating outside the hospital, i hope he recovers soon

¡Fuerza Cerati! You are without a doubt the most ingenious songwriter/musician the Spanish speaking world has ever known.
