Pioneers of the '90s Seattle rock scene, Alice in Chains is back in Los Angeles! The band will headline in Los Angeles for the first time since its show at the Avalon last year in support of last album Black Gives Way to Blue.

Foals have a new music video for single "Miami," off of latest release Total Life Forever. And the video was filmed right here in Los Angeles! If you're overseas, you can catch Foals all over Europe and Australia at several festivals. There's also a date in Austin, Texas, in October, but nothing has been booked yet for Los Angeles. We'll keep you posted on the next time Foals are in town, Scenestar readers!
Summer is just around the corner and so is news regarding some of the great free musical events right here in Los Angeles. One of them happens to be KCRW's Summer Nights series starting in June at One Colorado in Pasadena. Kicking off the series will be Hot Hot Heat on Saturday, June 12. The band will perform a free show in support of new album Future Breeds, starting at 7:30 p.m. with KCRW DJ Dan Wilcox. Also scheduled for June is Everest on Saturday, June 26, with DJ Chris Douridas. More shows are set to be announced, so be sure to take advantage of the free shows at One Colorado in Pasadena, sponsored by KCRW.

The Icelandic volcano stopped Chapterhouse, the newly reformed '90s shoegaze band, from having a U.S. tour for a handful of dates, including one here in Los Angeles in May. But now Chapterhouse has rescheduled the Troubadour show, which was originally scheduled for Friday, May 7. The newly rescheduled concert will take place on Friday, October 8!
