
The White Stripes are back! At least on film, anyway. Under Great White Northern Lights is the new White Stripes documentary, which comes out next month! On Tuesday, March 9, the Egyptian Theater is the first shot Los Angeles gets to see the film. Tickets for the screening are now onsale for the Egyptian Theater, but if you're low on money, you have three other options to watch the film for free!

JAN. 19 | LOS ANGELES—It's not everyday that a band with so much buzz and star power suddenly announces that they will be making their debut in your city, but the declaration of a show in Los Angeles might not be so strange after all. Those who were on top of the news on Friday, Jan. 19, were lucky enough to buy tickets to the live debut of James Mercer's (lead vocalist of The Shins) and Brian Burton's (Danger Mouse) new project, Broken Bells, before the show sold out. Once word got out about the show at the Bootleg Theater, there wasn't a ticket to be had. Luckily, thanks to a late miracle, I secured a pair of tickets to see Broken Bells' first show.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have announced a North American summer tour to promote the release of their first studio album in eight years, Mojo. The band will perform at the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday, May 22, and at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater on Thursday, June 3, and tickets for both shows will go on sale to the general public on March 22 at 10 a.m. Joe Cocker will open both shows.
Also, for every online ticket purchase, an MP3 download copy of Mojo will be delivered via e-mail on the album’s release date this spring, as well as eight tracks recorded during this tour, which will be delivered when the tour ends.
