With the situation in Haiti getting worse, everyone in the artist community has been stepping up to do their part to help. This time it's Fiona Apple and friends! Largo at the Coronet will host a special event on Saturday, Jan. 23, entitled "Love and Haiti, Too: A Music Benefit." Fiona Apple is volunteering to host this special evening of intimate music, and she will be joined onstage by Jon Brion, Tom Brosseau, Sara and Sean Watkins and Gillian Welch on drums!
With other surprise guests lined up to join Fiona Apple for the evening, there's no doubt that the event will be one of the best this weekend, and it's all going to a great cause. Proceeds from this show will go to Save the Children, who already have an established presence in Haiti and a distribution center in Port-au-Prince. Tickets are on sale now for $40 each and are available for purchase by calling (310) 855-0350. Act now because this will see out quick, and you don't want to miss seeing Fiona Apple live this Saturday at Largo at the Coronet!

I would kill to be in LA at this. Fiona Apple AND Jon Brion to help out Haiti

I'm with Adam - it would be really great if supporters of the Haiti fund raising effort and of Fionas rare appearances could hear this gig.
Here's hoping !

I also agree with Adam. It would be really awesome if they made it possible to purchase and download a video of the performance and have those funds go towards the Haiti fund raising effort!

I also would be happy to purchase a copy of this concert and perhaps some of the proceeds from the recording could be donated as well.
