Morrissey's ill fated Europe tour continues to add to its series of incidents following a collapse by the Moz a few weeks back in Swindon. This time it's a fan instigated cancellation at tonight's show in Liverpool's Echo Arena. After opening with "This Charming Man" and a bit into "Black Cloud", a concert attendee launched a beer bottle at Morrissey while he was shaking hands with fans in the front row. Following being hit in the head, Morrissey then composed himself then said "Goodbye" before walking off the stage with the band as seen in the footage above.
There hasn't been any official word on who the bottle tosser was at press time but an Echo Arena spokesperson stated: "We are reviewing CCTV evidence to ascertain exactly what happened. We have a strict policy of no glasses being allowed in the arena and we also decant all drink from bottles into plastic glasses at events of this kind."
Those in attendance at Morrissey's concert are reported to be receiving full refunds. We at The Scenestar hopes that these events do not lead to a cancelation of future Morrissey tour dates including those here in the West Coast. The bottle-thrower is definitely an idiot, but I think it was plastic. Not sure Moz needed to cancel the whole show and shaft everyone cuz one wanker did something stupid. p.s. I like how one of the tags for this article is "food and drink". Hilarious!

Gutted was my wife's 40th !.. tx's m8. It was only a bloody plastic bottle.
Yeah fair enough the thrower should be strung up but what about the rest of the 6999 people that were there !
I'm sure many other's feel the same and had special reasons to be there..
I was there for your 50th.. thought it would of been nice for you to be at my wife's 40th.. no such luck !

well, lets hope the other 6999 beat the shit out of the idiot who tossed the bottle then. it seems like too many people have lost sight of what was once considered common decency. I'm siding with Moz on this once (of course, I didn't pay for a ticket to the show).

The tosser must be in a bloody heap somewhere in Liverpool. How are the people next to them not lat the smack down? Sure, people will get refunded but I'm sure seeing Moz continue performing. If this happens in L.A., all the vato locos will jump the idiot. What else is going to happen to Moz on tour? Jezz....
