    I was there.

    Here's a video I recorded.

The venue was not right for the event and the event was poorly organized. I mean at a rave, everyone wants to be on the dance floor, not sitting in the mezzanine. There were no lines designated or enforced so people started crowding around the entrance to the floor and getting impatient. There was no organized system for orderly entry put in place so everyone was cutting and pushing. The event staff did not know what was going on so they could not direct attendees correctly. Overall, event staff were ignorant and very belligerent while attendees just wanted not to be cussed at and to have a good time.

It was a screwed yp evernt i Really hate them pigs. i saw a few videos and a great story at

    Hard looks good on paper...

Although I wasn't there, this doesn't surprise me at all. Hard Halloween last year was the most disorganized event I had ever been to. It really seemed as if there was zero planning for anything logistic, with long lines that wouldn't move and security acting with no confidence in how to manage the crowds.  I can imagine how the same mismanagement and ineptness went down last night and how horrible it must have been for people with $80 tickets. Hard's only hope is to somehow prove they have capable event managemen if they want to be taken seriously again. But for my money I just don't trust them. It's too bad because a lineup like last night's is a terrible thing to waste.

Let's not go so easy on the organizers. The event was EXTREMELY DISORGANIZED. There were no signs, not enough staff present to answer questions, direct people and the venue staff certainly didn't know anything about the event (even where things were located). It took me 1 hour 45 minutes to get through will call and inside. That is completely unreasonable for a wait time. Once inside, it was clear that they were grossly understaffed for security. You cannot hold them responsible for the stupid people who were jumping over the railing (the reason it got shut down) but a number of questions remain - why even after that did they not have enough security to move the people out of those areas immediately? Why would you sell that many general access tickets to a "dance" concert when most people are paying a lot of money to be able to be on the dancefloor, but you cannot accommodate even half of them?!?!? The organizers showed gross negligence and greed in understaffing the event, and complete incompetence in terms of their customers' expectations. If they don't offer refunds, we should organize a class action lawsuit ... we have the grounds to show beyond the rowdiness that the organizers put the public at danger with their practices.

Interesting and unfortunate turn of events. I have a theory. I had tickets to see Neil Young at the forum last October and apparantly the Forum Employee Union were on strike. Since Neil doesn't cross picket lines, he cancelled the show. The day of.

So... perhaps disgruntled staff who could care less how events turn out, assisted in last night's debacle. Or, The Forum lost all it's old employees, leaving the public with inexperienced rookies running shop.

I'm probably typing out of my ass.
One thing's for sure: Inglewood is still up to no good.

we left shortly before they kicked everyone out. were there any problems with the police when people exited?

    Tard Fest

I wasn't there but it is clear the promoter made a series of mistakes and most of the blame should fall on them. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE IDIOTS WHO KEPT JUMPING DOWN EVEN WHILE THE GUY WITH THE MIC WAS TELLING THE CROWD THE FIRE MARSHALL'S ORDERS? sometimes when you call bullshit you lose.

I had the good fortune of working hardfest- everthing was poorly organized, there too many people, and too few security- no one knew where the underground stage was or how to get to main floor. The all important outdoor was missing ( an outdoor stage would of stopped the forum from overflowing for outdoor stages can safely hold hold thousands). The crowd was rowdy as hell and and tons of people got in free by rushing gates. The music and entry point were suddenly shut down with no explanation, no one knew if the event was going to continue or not, and everyone sat and stood around like morons for and hour and a half completely clueless as to was to why the event was TRUELY being shut down, and who was TRUELY in charge, or the possibility of a refund to the attendees. Absolute catastraphe.

Oh yeah, and no one paid attention to the speaker telling everyone to clear the first 5 rows- had people listen the show would have gone on a while longer.

it's kind of hard to pay attention to someone who calls you douchbags while asking you to move 5 rows..the lack of respect from the promoter is what is pissing me off..Have you noticed that they have not apologized once, not in any of thier so called statements.

Brian's right. No apologies by HARD. Boo.

@Jarvis- this event had CSC (I think) run security- the same people who did EDC this year. Which, I felt, went great. I think axl was right that outdoor stage would've helped a ton. I personally had a heck of a time getting underground (45+ mins, had to find a supervisor to tell me correctly). No signs! Tards. I really loved the sick electro line-up of this event but right now, I really, really, really don't see myself ever going to another HARD event unless something big changes. Sad.

such a shame, it does influence any person which hasn't been there before.
