    Scenestar’s Top 10 Albums of 2007

Radiohead_in_rainbows2_3It’s nearly the end of this year, which means several Web sites and publications have been compiling their lists of the Best Albums of 2007. Many of the top spots have varied this year, with Pitchfork naming Panda Bear’s Person Pitch No. 1; Blender and Rolling Stone both placing Kala from M.I.A. at the top spot; and Klaxons’ Myths of the Near Future landing at No. 1 for NME’s list.

After the Scenestar compiled our own lists at the first-half of the year, some of us again took a look back and compiled our Top 10 Albums of 2007. And as Radiohead’s In Rainbows was big news for its innovative release strategy, it also took top honors as album of the year for many of us here. Hope you enjoy reading our lists, and Happy Holidays from The Scenestar.

Aren't I the rebel? Sorry Radiohead...

Oh my. We all DID pick Radiohead, didn't we? Sheesh. It was good, what can I say?

Mine is not in order yet, but it is basically the following:

    Justice
    Digitalism
    Arcade Fire
    Of Montreal
    Radiohead
    Klaxons
    BRMC
    Interpol
    Band Of Horses
and I am trying to decide between Blonde Redhead, The Shins, and Stars

My Favorite Record of the Year:

The Radiohead Discbox that has yet to arrive at my doorstep.

wow there's a of montreal fan in da house

hahahaha. that discbox is never coming.

    hahahahahahaha
    that's mean.

Your neighbor jacked you for that Discbox. Sorry homie. Try asking Amoeba if they found someone that sold them a discbox with your name on it to them for crack money!

I know a bunch of people who haven't gotten their discbox. Fear not. It will arrive eventually. Have faith (and the rest of you, stop being mean!! It's Christmas!!!).

    :)

What about manu chao [did not anyone go to the la show in may?] - la radiolina! love bat for lashes though!

I didn't get to see Manu Chao in May but I saw them open for Rage at Coachella. Amazing! I was surprise no one but La radiolina either. They made Time magazine's top ten...
